One of the questions I’m most often asked is, “are you a full time blogger?” People are surprised when I tell them I have a full time job at a digital media company. Since I work in an office everyday, I love to get dressed up. Our office attire is relaxed and mostly casual, but my #ootd’s are definitely more on the business casual side! For this post, I’ve partnered with Talbots to share a chic workwear look featuring this classic tweed blazer and gingham embellished top. You heard me – gingham is back for Spring, and I’m thrilled! I share another gingham inspired look here and I plan on wearing this crystal clustered top over and over again this season. I might even grab this dress too!

Bring on the Bling – Talbots Gingham Embellished Top
While Winter is all about the cozy layers and muted palettes, Spring is all about pretty little details and fun prints. Talbots has been a brand I’ve shopped for ages, but I haven’t featured here on the blog before. That changes now.
It’s official – my quest for the perfect button up top ends with this gingham embellished top. If you’re like me, your bill at the tailor has racked up over the years because pieces aren’t made for your body type. Since I have broad shoulders, button up blouses have always been a struggle. They either gap across the chest or are too big at the waist, looking boxy and completely unflattering. The kicker for me is they’d be too short in the arms. This one is NONE of those things. The cut is darted in the back to nip at the waist and the buttons are layered. So there’s no chance you’ll have gaps when you move (imagine that!?). Add in the rhinestones, the gingham print and the fact that it’s only $99 and I’m in love!
How to Style This Gingham Embellished Top
While this tweed blazer looks fabulous with the top, I’m also adding this white ruffle sleeve jacket to my cart too! For the office I’d pair the outfit with white slacks. But, you can easily change up the look with white denim for date night or white shorts for the weekend too.
What’s your go-to work look?
