Winter Style Series – Fluffy Sweater & Giveaway!

Happy New Year lovelies! In all the excitement of my first post of the year, I completely forgot to thank you all for your support and following along in 2017! From traveling to Paris to traipsing around the shows at NYFW, curating and sharing beautiful content that illustrates my love of life and inspires gorgeous outfits continues to be my greatest creative outlet. To kickoff the year, I’ve started a Winter Style Series for date night outfits during these colder months of the year. Today’s look includes a fluffy sweater that you can wear fireside or apres-ski!

Date Night Inspiration – Fluffy Sweater

With the snowflakes falling and Christmas decorations lining the streets, the holiday season felt exactly like it does in all the storybooks when we were in Illinois. But, don’t let my big smile fool you! Despite being in my own snow globe, I was still extremely cold! However, just because it’s cold doesn’t mean you can’t be chic (and maybe a little sexy)!

In my first winter date night outfit post, I shared how easy it can be to throw on a midi dress and layer with a great jacket and pair of boots. But, when the temps are hitting freezing, it’s a totally different ball game!

Cozy sweaters are where it’s at in 2018 and if it’s textured – fuzzy, fluffy or otherwise – I’m lovin’ it.

For today’s look, it’s time to break out your off the shoulder sweater’s. While I highly recommend re-wearing any long-sleeve OTS top, I’m majorly crushing on this fluffy sweater style from Chicwish. Like most of their other clothes – it’s super affordable and ONLY $52! YES! And, most importantly it’s just as soft as it looks.

Sure, some people swear by that “no white after Labor Day rule.” But, it’s silly to me. Break it! If it’s against everything you stand for, and you need another option, then try this tasseled sweater. The grey color gives off a vibe that’s perfectly suited for a little nook in a cafe or a cabin in the mountains.

I tend to prefer my darkest denim or white jeans during winter. For this outfit, I loved the contrast that my Rag & Bone jeans provided (similar here) against the white fluffy sweater. It also worked out great because these a pair of my thicker jeans I own, which helped keep me warm. Also, this pom pom beanie has been a go-to for me these last few weeks and it’s still available in a handful of colors.
