Winter is my favorite season. You likely wouldn’t guess that since I live in a (very) tropical climate. But, I love bundling up and cuddling in the cold temps with my someone special. I think the fact that the holidays make everything beautiful makes me enjoy it even more, and I love the way the trees and ground look covered in snow up North!
Dressing in the chilly weather can be challenging though. You have to stay covered up, but you still want to look chic in layers and not add unnecessary weight to your frame.
Both of the winter outfits I’ve pulled together here with Spring are designed to keep you warm, but stylish. If you haven’t heard of Spring, you need to check them out! They’re curating an endless array of my favorite brands and making it easier to shop online using their app. I gravitate towards the lines at Theory, Vince, French Connection and the like. Spring made it easy to find those items on sale at great prices. It also reminded me how great Urban Outfitters can be and introduced me to a new brand, Modern Citizen, that has affordable basics for your closet.
In the first look, I’ve paired a soft cashmere sweater (great for the office) with an awesome pair of skinny jeans. You’ll want to grab a pair sans rips if your office is casual, like mine. I topped this outfit with this gorgeous suede coat. I’ve seen a handful this season that are similar but 2-3 times the price! This one is still an modest splurge, but the color and length are perfect. It will be a closet favorite for years.
The second winter outfit would be great for New Years Eve with the two-toned silk tuxedo blouse and faux leather leggings. You could pair the look with black booties, but to keep it more feminine I opted for strappy sandals. To stay warm, throw on this luxe velvet blazer.
