This might have been my best buy of the year. I was casually strolling through LOFT when I saw this dangling on the clearance rack by itself. A classic white shirtdress. In my size. It had to be done.

I found this gem at LOFT for only $8! What a steal, right?! I don’t even remember seeing it in the store before that, so I guess it was just good luck.
A classic white shirtdress is a staple for any wardrobe. It’s great for Summer and makes a perfect transition piece since you can layer it with a great cardigan or sweater for Fall. Ann Taylor has some really cute options right now, like this white shirtdress with eyelet and this printed version here. I also really this pink shirtdress from LOFT, if you want a pop of color.
A shirtdress is work-friendly, especially when it’s midi-length like the one I’m wearing here. I went for a white out effect and paired my look with my favorite Pact pumps from Charles by Charles David. They come in a ton of colors and I think I need the magenta suede version for Fall. They are super comfortable, so part of me wants to buy an extra pair for when these get destroyed (and they will). I also love the rose gold color that’s available at Macy’s.
One thing I learned while shooting this post is that I’m never taking blog pics in the morning of Summer again in South Florida! It was horrendously humid at 91 degrees. So, that explains only the handful of pictures in this post for you guys.
