Maybe I’m the only one, but I think finding a dress for New Year’s Eve can be tough. Firstly, my days of wearing a mini dress are nearly over (which I’m okay with). Secondly, we don’t really go out anymore. The allure of those shenanigans is WAY over. We opt for a small house party with our closest friends. While I want to get dressed up, I don’t want to be over the top. And, as much as I love sequins and sparkle, as I get older I lean more towards the glitz and glam of a cocktail dress I can wear again to another event. So, I’ve rounded up a bunch of options for what to wear on New Years Eve for you guys at awesome price points! Best of all – they’re dresses you can wear again for date nights too.

What to Wear on New Years Eve
As per usual, my color palette of choice for New Year’s Eve is black, gold, blush and white. If you want a plunging neck line, my recommendation is this Free People dress that has some sequins on it. But, if lace is what you’re looking for, then snap up this ASTR illusion dress (under $50 ON SALE!) or this BB Dakota long-sleeve dress. For any of these dresses, if you’re somewhere cold and snowy then put on a pair of thick black tights (I like the high waist style by Commando) and your favorite pair of booties.
A metallic dress is an easy pick for a NYE dress too. This flowy gold frock would be my pick, but Revolve and Shopbop have other pieces too.
True to my style, there are a handful of white and cream colored NYE dress picks too. My favorite is this C/Meo Collective frock that has some off the shoulder details, as well as a ruffled bottom with layers. It’s the most expensive piece in my roundup here though. But, it’s sure to be a standout stunner! I also really love this halter dress and it’s only $85. It’s hard to tell in the picture, but it has sequins all over it. For more under $100 picks, I selected this tiered lace dress (just $98 and super similar to Self Portrait dresses) and this bell sleeve dress from Endless Rose (I last wore the brand here).
