If you’re like me, you’re always on the hunt for new sunglasses to complement your outfit and enhance your style. I continue to love the cat-eye look, so these Piper sunglasses from Warby Parker hit the mark. They have a classic jet-black frame that looks flattering on all face types and will help you #SeeSummerBetter for less than $100!
Accessories can change the entire tone of an outfit and really make it pop. Where a classic pair of aviators (last seen here) remind me of Tom Cruise’s laid back, casual-cool attitude in Top Gun, a great cat-eye frame (above) epitomizes the fun spirt of Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. They’re light-hearted, girly and give your look a feminine feel.
I continue to be impressed by Warby Parker as a brand. One of their main goals is to make an affordable pair of eyewear that capture the classics, as well as the latest trends – all while not breaking the bank. The Piper sunglasses are a STEAL at just $95 and come in jet-black and tortoise. As I mentioned in my last post, they’re also a socially conscious organization – donating one pair to someone in need for every pair sold.
I prefer a slightly oversized lens in every style I select because I’m really focused on skincare and keeping the area around my eyes well-protected. The Banks graphic frames (below) were perfect for that and they gave me a slightly retro look that was unique. I was completely out of my comfort zone with these because I am normally so predictable with my style. But, that’s the best part of fashion: the freedom to experiment with a new look that allows you to develop your creative eye!
Sunglasses (1st pair): Warby Parker // Sunglasses (2nd pair): Warby Parker // Top: Elizabeth and James (similar here) // Shorts: Banana Republic (also love these) // Sandals: Soludos // Bag: Forever 21 (sold out, similar here and luxury option here) // Necklace: Jennifer Zeuner (this one is on my wish list!) // Bracelets: Chicos // Ring: Julie Vos
The Banks sunnies went really well with my high-low crop top by Elizabeth and James since it’s a more fashion-forward look. The coloring in the tortoise of these frames was also really fun being a grey/blue/black combination. I chose my striped Soludos espadrilles to complete the outfit as we walked down the beach at sunset. These babies continue to sell out, but I grabbed them when they were recently restocked. I find them to be true-to-size and they’re also an easy way to rock a Summer trend as the season comes to a close since they’re just $55!
