I’ve been wanting a pair of aviators for a long time. Honestly – longer than I can even remember. Thing is, I just never really felt like the popular brands fit my face well. I refuse to wear or buy something simply because it’s trendy. That’s probably the biggest fashion mistake that you can make – buying an item you know doesn’t look right on you just because it’s popular.
I ordered these Crossfield aviators as a part of my Home Try-On (such an amazing program – you select up to 5 pairs to try for 5 days for FREE!). I was smitten the second I tried them on. What I love is that they’re slightly oversized. If your face is a bit longer, like mine, they’re going to be perfect. They come in a polished gold (my pick) and silver.
Not only are Warby Parker sunnies super affordable – they’re adorable too! Most people don’t know, but they have an altruistic element to their business as well. For every pair sold, a pair is distributed to someone in need. And – not only that, but they also train people in developing countries on how to give eye exams and sell affordable sunglasses so they can have a way to make an income. I love when I come across a company whose items are high quality at a great price – and they give back to communities both close and far. A million pairs have been donated so far – I’m impressed, Warby Parker!
I finished the look with this delicate ring from Park Lane Jewelry (it’s a steal!) and my classic Chanel bag.
Matt and I had never been to the state park by the ocean together before, so we took a drive through and stopped at a few spots along the way. They have beautiful trails in so many different spots. We went in just before sunset, so I was glad I brought my sunglasses. There’s a nice stretch along the intercoastal where we got out and walked along the water for a while. It’s a great spot for a picnic or some fishing!
What did you do this weekend?!
This post is in partnership with Warby Parker and I’m over the moon to be participating in their #SeeSummerBetter campaign.
