While I don’t subscribe to the belief that you have to go crazy on Valentine’s Day and get expensive gifts or go to pricey dinners, I do think making it a regular date night can be fun. I know that Matt and I get so busy with everyday life that we specifically try to ask each other on dates (I asked him to the movies two weekends ago). Two great ideas for a celebration can be staying in and cooking dinner together or you can always go out to dinner the weekend before or the weekend after (so it’s less expensive). In either case, I highly recommend you get dressed up. For me, getting dolled up is what makes it feel more like a date. So, with that in mind I’m sharing 12 Valentines’ Day outfit ideas – with many under $100!

Inspiring Valentine’s Day Outfit Ideas
If you’re looking for Valentine’s Day outfit ideas, you’ve come to the right place. Although many think of tight body con dresses and mini dresses when they think of V-Day, I think I’m past that time in my life. I tend to gravitate towards comfort and longevity when it comes to dresses these days. Now, that doesn’t mean I won’t get into something more form-fitting, but I want multiple wears out of what I buy.
One of my favorite finds for the holiday is this flounce dress by Leith. I love Leith as a brand because they’re stylish and very affordable (this dress is under $60). I also absolutely love this floral tie neck dress. It’s under $75!
If you are looking to show off your figure, check out this red beauty by Norma Kamali or this long-sleeved blush dress by ASTR. I love the Norma Kamali because it’s sexy but the material is also shirred, which means it’s forgiving in the mid-section and throughout the thighs (areas where most women are self-conscious).
All Those Dresses – What about a Top?
If you’re looking closely, you might have already noticed that one of the pieces in the image above isn’t a dress (sneaky sneaky, right!?). Since my style is feminine and girly, I like the idea of wearing a dress for Valentine’s Day. But, if it isn’t for you then I’m recommending this blush off the shoulder top with a great pair of dark denim or black jeans. It’s just $70 and will a piece you wear on repeat for Spring (which is right around the corner).
I know pink and red aren’t everyone’s colors, so hopefully the floral frock’s and classic black velvet dress will inspire you otherwise. What are your plans for Valentine’s Day?
