Travel fuels my soul and drives my inspiration. But, sometimes I have (almost) as much fun styling my vacation outfit ideas as I do building the itinerary! Okay… that might be a bit of a stretch. But, I just love going on vacation. It’s an opportunity to relax and recharge from the daily hustle and pressures of work and life. And, looking cute while doing it is also one of the best parts about going on vacation. We have a fun trip we’re planning for later this summer. Even though it’s months away, I’m getting prepped with some pieces like this gorgeous green dress and this easy crochet beach cover up. I like to plan my outfits based on activities. So, I’m sharing a round-up of vacation outfit ideas that can make you look chic no matter what you’re doing.

6 Vacation Outfit Ideas
We just put the finishing touches on our summer plans and I could not be more excited! So, I’ve already scoured my favorite retailers and put together some summer vacation outfit ideas. Our family loves to mix up the activities, but ultimately its a beach trip. We’ll be casual and stay in for lunch or dinner a few nights. But, I’ll also want a few beach outfit ideas for when we’re out by the water or down by the pool. Then, we’ll likely head into town and I’ll need a cute shopping outfit! Since we’ll have the baby, they all need to be family appropriate.
What to Wear to the Beach
I’m packing a few bathing suits for our trip and will likely bring a few one piece swimsuits since I’ll likely be carrying the baby. The print on this one is SO fun. I got it last year, but it’s still available! This maxi skirt coverup will give me good coverage and is super flattering. The price point is amazing too at just $62. Then, I’ll bring these sandals since the sand can be really hot sometimes. My Marc Fisher discount code is AMANDA20. Be sure to use that for 20% OFF!
What to Wear to the Pool
The house we’re renting also has a huge pool. So, I’m planning to wear my bikini there and will also pack another crochet coverup like this one. Part of the pool is covered, which is so nice. But, I want to be sure I’m not too exposed to the sun. This long sleeve crochet coverup will be perfect.
What to Wear to Go Shopping
One of the best parts of 30A are the cute beach towns are clustered together where you can go shopping. Last year we went to Seaside and I’m sure we’ll pop over there again this year. I just love this ruffled mini dress and will probably bring my Chanel Deauville tote bag to carry anything I purchase. Since we’ll be walking around a lot, I’ll pair the outfit with these Vince flatforms that are super comfortable.
What to Wear to Lunch
There are tons of cute restaurants within walking distance to our rental. This belted dress is easy to throw on and it has pockets! Score! The length is good too – not too short and not too long. Plus, the billowy silhouette is very forgiving after a big meal. It looks cute with simple flat woven sandals too.
What to Wear to Dinner
Dinner is the time when I’ll get dressed up. This green wrap dress caught my eye and it is a stunner! You can dress it up or down. But, I’ll probably style it with these Marc Fisher heeled sandals (use code AMANDA20 for 20% OFF!) to give me a little extra height. Then, I’ll bring my basket bag (similar here) since it’s the perfect accessory for a beach vacation outfit. The dress also comes in beige and red which are both really pretty.
If you want another simple option, this ruched dress is the nicest neutral shade that will look great with a tan!
