You have to have this cargo vest. It’s as simple as that! This past weekend I made a quick trip to Target and, of course, left with more items than planned (ever have that happen to you!?). I went in to check out the new Who What Wear collection and also ended up leaving with this skinny scarf and this striped top too.

I know this is going to sound funny, but sometimes I try to avoid Target. It’s like a black pit of awesomeness… but, they take all my money! At least this cargo vest was really affordable at just under $30 and it was just one of the great pieces that I saw during that shopping trip.
I’ve often thought that I couldn’t wear a cargo vest – that they just didn’t look good on me. But, the length on this one works well. First, the material is super soft and it drapes perfectly. It isn’t boxy, overly structured, and it doesn’t add weight to my frame. That’s how I always felt when I put on a cargo vest (with a handful of pockets). This one is different. The color is also more flattering and acts like a neutral. For a Super Bowl party at a friends house, I paired it with a simple white t-shirt from Splendid and my favorite black AG legging jeans. I also plan to wear it over an easy plaid maxi dress like this one.
