There are girls that know how to do their hair in perfect top knots and pretty crown braids… and then there is me. I’m not bad at doing my own makeup (The girl at the Tom Ford counter complimented me the other day. That’s something, isn’t it?!). But, I’m horrible at doing my hair. So, anything that can make it easier to do is a winner in my book. When the team behind the T3 Whirl Trio interchangeable styling wand reached out to partner, I was ecstatic. I’d seen a bunch of other bloggers raving about it. Now, I was getting my chance to check it out too! Keep reading for my full review.

T3 Whirl Trio Review – Best Curling Iron
These days everyone needs a little extra time in their day. For me, blow drying my hair wasn’t so bad. In the past I had invested in a nice hair dryer and bought the T3 travel hair dryer for trips. But, styling my hair was a whole other story! I’d only do it for special occasions or date nights with Matt because of how long it took.
I don’t want to be dramatic and say my life has changed, but through my experience with the T3 Whirl Trio it’s become clear to me that when it comes to styling your hair, the products you use make a major difference. Below is a quick snapshot of my review of the pros and cons of the T3 tools.
T3 Whirl Trio Pros
- Have you seen the packaging? It’s gorgeous with white and rose gold detail. I threw out both of the other curling irons I had in my vanity after just one use of the trio and the hair dryer.
- The temperature range on the interchangeable styling wand is AMAZING! There are 5 heat settings that go up to 410 degrees. Plus, this baby heats up fast which makes it really easy and quick to get a good curl.
- The trio comes with several different barrels, including a 1” straight barrel, a tapered barrel for a more beachy look, and a 1 1 /2” straight barrel. So, overall you can create a ton of different looks.
- The T3 Whirl Trio is tourmaline, ceramic – ionic, and has far infrared technology. All of this is to protect your tresses and make your hair smooth which was important to me! Who likes fried hair?
- With the Featherweight Luxe hair dryer, my hair was SUPER shiny after use. Literally, multiple friends and family members complimented me.
T3 Whirl Trio Cons
- You have to be careful not to burn yourself. Okay, maybe this doesn’t qualify as a con – but the heat I mentioned above is legit!
- I’m used to a very hot blow dryer and the Featherweight Luxe 2i didn’t get quite as hot. But, I actually think it’s probably not a con because I was doing damage to my hair with my old dryer and causing split ends.
- The “On/Off” button placement was a little awkward. I found myself turning off the tool a few times by accident. But, that isn’t a big deal either.
- It’s an investment for the Whirl Trio set, including the Defined Curls add-on. But, it’s worth it in my opinion.
As for the looks that I’ve created, the Defined Curls piece that comes as an add-on has been my favorite. Living in Florida your curls fall fast! So, I like my curls tighter to start. I also used the 1 1/2” straight barrel for a more undone look which I loved.
There’s a reason this product won Allure magazine’s ‘Best of Beauty’ Award for Best Curling Iron in 2016! It’s pretty fabulous! If you have any questions, just ask me below in the comments section.
