If you grew up in the 90’s like I did, then you’re familiar with the infamous “puffy shirt” scene from Seinfeld. If you can believe it, my husband told me last night he’s actually NEVER seen it! But, it’s likely one of the most watched episodes ever. SPOILER ALERT! It ends with Jerry killing the trend before it takes off. But, they’re back! Statement sleeves are a BIG trend for Spring you’ll see me wearing regularly. I love the simplicity of this puffed sleeve top from Cece at Nordstrom. You last saw me wear one of their darling tops here and I just posted my new fave item from them here on Instagram. This easy look is perfect for running errands on those cool transitional days. Throw on your favorite black distressed denim and leopard sneakers for an edgy look and you’re set!

Weekend Style – The Pufft Shirt
Black, white and red are having a moment (at least, for me!). Truth is – on any given day when I don’t know what to wear, I grab a white or cream top in my closet. Cece is a brand I’ve quickly come to love for their everyday basics that are feminine and modern – like this puffed sleeve top. I wore this to run errands over the weekend and as I was walking out the door my hubby yelled out that he liked my top. Don’t get me wrong – Matt regularly compliments me and says that I look nice. But, he doesn’t normally comment on a specific piece of my outfit. So, anytime he goes out of his way to tell me he likes something I take note!
You definitely need a top with statement sleeves in your wardrobe for Spring. In addition to the one I’m wearing, I also love this pink ruffled blouse (ONLY $89 and also comes in black and hot pink) and this white top with bows on its sleeves (only $79).
Not only is this puffy shirt affordable, but it’s also super comfortable. The closest I come to ironing is using my steamer! So, I prefer to stock up on soft, cotton basics for the weekends. Right now I also have my eye on this adorable embellished shirt dress too that would be really cute with sneakers.
