You need a blanket scarf in your life. You just do. It’s one of Fall’s easiest accessories to wear and they are all so cozy! I saw this plaid blanket scarf from The Limited right when I walked in the store and then thought about for a week or two before finally going back to purchase it. It’s now sold out online, but should be available in store for a bit longer (GO. GET. IT.). If it isn’t available, be sure to check for this new version which is also super soft.
Scarf: The Limited (new version here and love this one and this one) // Dress: ark & co (old, similar here) // Boots: Zara (old, similar here and love these) // Tote: Coach (old, similar here and I also have this affordable reversible one)
Navy. Camel. Cream. Seriously?! This color combo makes for the perfect plaid blanket scarf for Fall. I’m loving the bordeaux/peach/grey version that’s online now too. These scrves feel as soft as cashmere, but at a much more affordable price! In South Florida, we haven’t quite hit temps that call for a coat yet, but I couldn’t help but break out this scarf and my booties today to run some errands. It was really overcast and windy, so I used that as an excuse to accessorize. Plus, I’m almost always cold. I like to use a scarf like a wrap as an alternative to a cardigan.
There are a bunch of great options for scarves right now at low prices. I like the black and white windowpane print from Express (with a pop of red!) and Sole Society’s pastel plaid version.
I like to let the scarf be front and center in the look, so the rest of the outfit is neutral, like my dress by ark & co (similar by Dolce Vita here). This lace dress by Topshop is beautiful and I also like this fit and flare number by BB Dakota. My nude booties are from Zara last season, and this open-toed pair from Vince are a close match. I’m also loving the Keyna bootie by Vince Camuto and Joie Dalton boot too.
If you’re looking for a great tutorial on how to style your blanket scarf, be sure to check out this quick video by blogger Extra Petite. It’s how I decided to style mine.
Hope you guys have a wonderful weekend!
