The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is officially here and I had a chance to shop at my local store in Boca Raton yesterday. So many of the great pieces I picked up in last years #nsale are available again this year (some in new colors). I’ve been very intentional this year in what I put on my wishlist and what I purchased since I’ve had a major life change. That means grabbing some basics like comfy tees and more pajamas, one simple sweater dress and a handful of sneakers (these are my top pick!). Below is everything I tried on. I’ll call out sizing and fit details as well as what I purchased or already own.
L’Agence Blazer (size up 2 sizes) // Moon River dress // Steve Madden Booties
L’Agence makes the most chic blazers and this cropped style will be a best seller this year for sure! I suggest sizing up two sizes in their jackets as they run really small. I did purchase the Moon River maxi dress in both colors in a medium. The cut is so flattering and it’s on sale for $75. Then, the booties are by Steve Madden. Since I already have a pair of similar shoes I did not take these home. But, I love the color and the heel height. They run true to size.

My Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Try-on Haul
During the sale I love to be a resource for you! Items often sell out and then restock (or returns trickle in). So, my top tip is to make your wishlist by favoriting the items you’d like to purchase. That will alert you when something comes back in stock! The video above features many of the items I tried on, some of which I purchased. But, I have another order that just arrived today with a few more things as well (with items that are still in stock!). So, I may do a part two of this Nordstrom sale try-on haul post. Stay tuned! You can also follow along on Instagram since I’ll probably share details on my Stories first.
Reiss Blazer (size up one size) // Cinq a Sept dress // Marc Fisher Booties
Black blazer outfit
One of my favorite purchases is this Reiss black blazer. It’s a splurge (this one is more budget-friendly at $49 and I got it in tan)! But, seeing as how I recently misplaced my other one, I needed this for work events and such. The cut cinches in your waist and then flares out a bit which is elongating and very flattering.
Then, the dress is Cinq a Sept and sooo cute! It’s another spluge piece. As a brand they run TTS or a hair small. Then, the booties are Marc Fisher and they are THE BEST! I’ve owned them for several years and you can always wear their shoes right out of the box with no issues or need to break them in. I wear a size 9!
Open Edit Blazer // Madewell T-shirt // Wit and Wisdom Jeans // Rag & Bone Sneakers
Oversized blazer with a tee
Then, I grabbed three (yes, three) of these Madewell tees. I got two in the off-white and one of the washed black color. They are beyond soft, have the perfect amount of slouch to them and are only $22. As you can see, they look good with jeans and a blazer as well as the faux leather pants (which had a weird fit IMO so not recommending).
The oversized blazer is a great score. It comes in three colors and I got the tan. Best part – it’s under $50! My broad shoulders made me stick with my normal size. But, if you have a slender frame I’d probably size down 1 size.
See below for a detailed love affair with the Rag & Bone sneakers!
Wool coat
If you’re in the market for a winter jacket, this wrap style wool coat by Reiss is my pick. But, it is pricey! Instead, maybe consider the Bernardo coat in the Oat Milk color. I own several of their coats and puffers and they are quality!
Another item I absolutely love from my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale dressing room try-on haul is the Treasure & Bond Panama hat! It comes in 3 or 4 colors and is a steal at $31.99!
Nordstrom Sale Pajamas
As I sit here writing this post, I’m wearing this pair of ribbed pajamas from the sale (for the second night in a row). So, that should tell you something! Both of the Nordstrom sales associates that helped me put them on their wishlist – they are THAT good! I’m wearing a size medium, so they’re TTS.
The pair on the right are the long-sleeved Moonlight pajamas that I buy every year. They also come in a short-sleeved version. I rarely say you “need” something, but these pajamas are a longtime favorite. My size is the medium in these as well.
Rails Ellis Shirt // YSL Camera Bag
Rails is a brand I love to shop during the Nordstrom sale because their prices are normally so much more affordable! Last year I purchased the Ellis shirt in White and this year it’s available in a few different colors for $109, including this pink plaid print. This blouse with leopards on it is also in the sale (which I have in a linen version and it’s so cute). The outfit is paired with a chic YSL camera bag that I desperately wish was also in the sale (wink wink).
Nsale Shoes
This year’s clear winner for me with the #nsale were shoes! I’ve worn these Rag & Bone sneakers for three days straight already. At $199 they’re a splurge, but they’re the perfect neutral kicks. You can wear them to travel, run around with the kids or for casual events.
I also purchased my first pair of Birkenstock sandals. The gold details and neutral color will go with everything and from what I’ve heard they get better with each wear. Price is marked down to $129 from $170.
There are several pairs of New Balance sneakers in the sale as well. My top choice is this pair, which are slightly different from the ones pictured here. Comfort is next level with these and they’re on sale for $67.
When it comes to high heels, I grabbed two pairs in the 2023 #nsale. The first are the Marc Fisher Varla block heel pumps which feature a pointed square toe and a modest heel height. Like all other shoes I’ve owned by the brand, you can wear these directly out of the box with no need to break them in. They are insanely comfortable and come in six colors for $89.
A best seller from last year, the L’Agence Antoine sandals are back! This time I managed to get my hands on them and they’re beyond chic. They’re a splurge piece at $199, but again – the color allows you to mix them with so many outfits.
Lastly, we have the Ugg slippers. I don’t personally wear slippers, so I passed on these. But, they were very comfy for $75 and they come in six colors (I’m wearing the chestnut).
NSale Accessories
One of my favorite purchases from last year were a pair of YSL sunnies, only for me to lose them while I was pregnant. So, this year I knew I wanted to grab another pair. My top pick are the Celine 3 Dots style. Another stunner are the Fendi Baguettes and they’ll sell out fast!
Since I did an online order as well, I have a handful of additional outfits to share. I’ll put together a part two to this Nsale dressing room try-on and will get it posted tomorrow!
