This past week I had a chance to visit Miami Plastic Surgery and have my personal Skinceuticals CUSTOM D.O.S.E serum created for me. That’s right – a custom serum! “Let me guess. Oily skin. Some pigmentation and unevenness. And, you want to tighten it up a bit.” Heidy Urra, my medical aesthetician at Miami Plastic Surgery, hit the nail on the head within a minute of meeting me.
“Dang. You’re good,” I said.
And, just like that – my consultation was complete. She asked a few other questions about my skin concerns, what type of products I like, and was able to explain to me why I didn’t love others (too drying for my skin, etc.).

My skin is still glowing like I have highlighter on, days later.
While she treated my skin, they started mixing my CUSTOM D.O.S.E. serum. It’s basically a unique mix of high-potency ingredients that will help correct the aging and discoloration that I’m dealing with. For my formula, we avoided a retinol so that I can use it twice a day, morning and night. The bottle is small, but it should last around 3 months. And, it’s got my name on it! I’m excited to see my results as I continue to use it. Heidy taught me that you’re supposed to pat it on, versus rubbing it into your skin, which I didn’t know. I’ve been using it for the last week now, and I’m excited to see my results as I continue to apply it daily.
