Being at home as much as we were in March, my daily makeup routine changed quite a bit (although my “no makeup” look has come in handy!). There were some days when I went full on glam just to remember what it feels like! But, there have been a far more days when I’ve been able to switch it up test some new beauty products. From a new primer that makes your makeup glide on to a new creamy concealer and an affordable face cleanser, I found a great set of items I’ve added to my routine. I’m rounding them all up here with my full reviews.

March Beauty Favorites
Despite all this #socialdistancing, I’m trying to find the silver linings! For me, that means having time to test new beauty products! It’s more time to try amazing new brands that are putting out new items that are becoming fast favorites. I continue to make the move towards more clean beauty. I’ve put an asterisk next to each of the products below that are clean. This last month I tried probably 20 new products and eight are making the list I’m sharing here.
*Tatcha Liquid Silk Canvas Featherweight Primer
This is my first Tatcha product and I’m super impressed. I was never crazy about primer until probably the last year or two. Now I’ve probably tried 7 or so and I definitely play favorites. I like the texture on this one and it leaves a dewy finish. The only thing I wish is that it had a little more of a metallic finish. But, I know that isn’t for everyone. I like to realllly glow.
Bobbi Brown Illuminating Bronzer
I’ve had this bronzer for a while but haven’t used it much until this past month. The color is a perfect “just laid out in the sun” bronzey glow. But, it goes on a bit heavier and then you blend it in. This is probably a top 3 bronzer for me personally as it’s really natural. It’s on sale right now at Nordstrom – 15% OFF.
*Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint Foundation
Let me say first off that I’m a HUGE fan of Ilia products. The liquid serum highlighter (color Nova) is MY FAV. The name on this confused me a bit, as I’ve never thought as a serum as a foundation. I don’t think I’d wear this as a foundation. But, on light makeup days it works perfectly because it has SPF 40 and it’s mineral based. So, it has a ton of other skincare benefits. I don’t think I tested the right shades and I’d like it even more when I can get color matched.
Sol de Janiero Brazilian Bum Bum Cream
THIS STUFF! It seriously smells like the beach bottled in a lotion. I first heard of this brand four years ago from my friend Anna at NYFW. Fast forward to a month or two ago when I got a PR package and remembered why I loved this cream / body butter back then. This is something I’m keeping STOCKED! Especially in this time when we can’t get to the beach – you need to scoop this up.
*Cleen Beauty Rosehip Jelly Face Cleanser
This is a new-to-me beauty brand that I’ve really been enjoying. Since I double cleanse my face, I use my balm first and then this affordable cleanser second. It’s under $7 and you can grab it at Walmart. It foams up really nicely and gets off all the buildup from the day.
*First Aid Beauty Pure Skin Conditioner Eye Makeup Remover
Admittedly, this is a re-stock! Honestly, this is the ONLY makeup remover that I use. It doesn’t have alcohol in it, so it won’t burn your eyes. It’s soothing and takes off every last drip of eye makeup. And, a little bit goes a long way! You can get this at Ulta for under $20.
*First Aid Beauty Hello FAB Bendy Avocado Concealer
Let me just say upfront that I’m a super tough critic when it comes to concealer. It HAS to be ultra moisturizing. The color has to be light enough to brighten your eye. But, it also has to cover any dark circles completely. This full coverage concealer gets two thumbs up from me. It bends and stretches and NEVER creases (which is HUUUGE). It has a great range of colors and has now been bumped up to my 2nd fav concealer.
Cirem HCR 3-in-1 Serum
Okay, so from the get-go I was super interested in this serum. Serum’s are MY JAM! This one combines three of the must-have ingredients: Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid, and retinol. It uses a patented Rapid Absorption Technology which helps the product absorb more into your skin and I have to say, my skin felt glorious in the morning. Heads up! This is a more expensive product at $195. Initial impression is that I really like this serum and I’m going to continue to test it out and share more results.
If you have products you think I should try or new brands you’re curious about – let me know! I’d love to try them.
