This past week I was at a conference in Las Vegas, so it was only fitting that I brought a little rock and roll glam to the city that never sleeps. This black and white layered top by Bailey 44 is so versatile that it was the perfect blouse to bring to Sin City.

Las Vegas is total sensory overload for me! An adult’s version of Disney World, it can be really fun for a weekend away. The hotels are gorgeous and each is better than the next. The event I was in town for was hosted at the Venetian luxury resort and the neighboring Palazzo Hotel, which were both beautiful and packed with amazing shopping opportunities!
I packed this flowy, layered top by Bailey 44 for the trip because it’s super cute and easy to take from day to night. It’s also 100% polyester, so it travels well and barely wrinkles (which is important if you hate to iron like me)! During the conference, I paired it with tailored black trousers and a leather trimmed blazer. For a night on the town, I changed into my favorite pair of leather leggings. It’s getting easier to find a good, affordable pair of leather leggings and I’m sure a ton of options will be hitting the shelves soon with the new Fall lines. I have two pairs in black, but I also have a taupe pair like these that I wear frequently in Fall and Winter.
Aside from the blouse I brought with me, I am currently coveting this gingham layered top, also by Bailey 44. It’s sleeveless (which is great for Summer) and the gingham print is right on trend. For a more formal look, I like this striped layered top (yes, again by Bailey 44!). It’s on sale now too which makes it a must have.
Most times when I travel for work, I have very little time to get out and see the city. This trip wasn’t much different, but I managed to get away for one night and take in the show voted best in Las Vegas five years running, Le Reve. It was spectacular! Unlike other productions, Le Reve combines acting with dance, acrobatics, diving, comedy and all takes place inside an aqua theater. If you haven’t seen it, put it on your list for your next trip to Vegas. You won’t be disappointed.
