Grey Midi Skirt in Central Park
The snow fell down all around me as I walked through Central Park during one of my last days at NYFW. To some people, getting wet might have been annoying. But, to me it was beautiful. Visiting the park has always been one of my favorite past times while exploring the city and I made plans to take a quick walk through on Sunday morning before the Bloglovin and Style Collective brunch events that morning. In my layered knits, including my affordable grey midi skirt by BCBGeneration and my favorite Club Monaco coat, I kept warm.

The Best Shoes to Pack for NYFW
So many girls wore sneakers and booties this year during fashion week because of the horrific weather the city served up for a few days. There was no way anyone was breaking out their Stuart Weitzman OTK’s in that snow! Then, Saturday gave us some hope with it’s sunshine and temps in the 50’s. We all thought the worst was behind us and then came Sunday with all the rain! Boo! Unfortunately for me, although I packed practically with my sweaters and heavier coats, I didn’t really think through my shoe situation. The only flats I brought were a pair of loafers (these are my current faves – Gucci lookalikes) and that didn’t go with my last look I’d planned for Sunday which was a grey midi skirt with a white sweater. Thus, I pulled on my military-inspired booties and roughed it for the day in heels again!
Why a Grey Midi Skirt Should be in Your Closet
This sweater skirt is one of my favorite pieces I purchased for NYFW. Firstly, the fact that it’s a knit makes it super soft and comfy. Though I’m calling it a midi skirt, but it’s probably somewhere between midi and maxi to be honest which makes it even more versatile. But, the slit in the side is what makes it so chic. And, its less than $75 – a steal! While I wore this with a chunky white sweater, that won’t work for the Florida weather I’m normally in. I’ll likely wear it with a sheer sleeve top like this one instead. I love the idea of wearing it with a black tissue turtleneck too.
