Wine country weekends are my favorite. For those of you who have been following for a little while, you know how much I loooove me some wine! After all, Matt and I got married there! So, when the Lola & Ivy management team that I work with organized a retreat for a bunch of blogger babes they represent, I was all in! Going on any vacation with nearly a dozen girls (who mostly don’t know each other!) can be a possible recipe for disaster. But, from the three stunning wineries we visited to the charming new hotel we stayed at and all the laughs with the ladies, it was a fabulous, much needed getaway. In this post, I’ll be sharing what to do in Healdsburg, including where to eat, where to sip sip and where to stay.

Wineries to Visit in Sonoma
What I loved about this trip is that we allowed enough time between wineries. On previous trips I’ve taken, we crammed between 3 – 5 wineries into the day. Take your time – enjoy the scenery and enjoy a glass of your favorite wine from the tasting. Create memories in this beautiful place.
Our first stop was Matrix Winery where we tasted all reds. I wore the blush ruffled cashmere sweater I snagged at Saks Off 5th with my favorite booties. Since I only took a carry-on (see my tips for packing here), these boots were my go to for the weekend.

The second day in Healdsburg started at MacRostie Winery. Talk about STUNNING! The rolling hills served as the backdrop to the idyllic private room we tasted in and two adorable dogs on property became our best friends. We tasted 3 whites, followed by 3 reds.
Our last stop after lunch was at J Vineyards & Winery where we had a sparkling wine and champagne tasting. Of course, I loved them all! But, my favorite was the J Brut Rosé. They paired it with a piece of bacon-infused chocolate and a yummy cheese.
My leopard dress was a hit! I topped it with my go-to leather jacket and the booties from yesterday. In Sonoma you can be as casual as you want, but you know me! I always like to dress up.
We stopped for lunch at the Dry Creek General Store which was too cute! My new friend Camille and I both ordered the prosciutto di parma sandwich which had prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, fresh oregano and olive oil on a sour dough roll. It was DELICIOUS! I think it was the local olive oil that really made the difference.

Where to Stay in Healdsburg
We stayed at the Hotel Trio in Healdsburg. It’s brand new and soooo nice! Each of the rooms are like suites, so you have a little kitchen and a spacious bathroom. My roomie was the adorable Angelle from Dashing Darlin’ blog. After the days at the wineries we’d come back to our cozy room and girl gab for hours!
It was pretty chilly while we were in town (mid-50’s), so we didn’t get a chance to hop in the pool. But, it looks fabulous. Also, breakfast at the hotel was incredible. They had everything from scrambled eggs to biscuits and gravy (my fave!), fresh fruit, cereal – you name it.

Thank you to Lola & Ivy for organizing an amazing trip!
