Nestled in the heart of Palm Beach and nearby the famous Worth Avenue shops is the most perfect boutique property for a girls weekend getaway, The Colony Palm Beach. With it’s pink exterior and endless amount of Instagram-worthy spots, it’s easily one of the most popular vacation destinations in Palm Beach. Location-wise, it doesn’t get much better. The hotel is literally steps away from the beach. So, when Jaime from Sunflowers and Stiletto’s and I got a chance to stay there, I could barely contain myself! Since I live in South Florida, The Colony in’t new to me. But, up until now I hadn’t experienced all the hotel has to offer. Now, I’m sharing a full review on the room, food, amenities and more. What are you waiting for? Pack your bag! Grab your favorite floral dress, a cute swimsuit and your favorite beach bag. It’s time to visit The Colony Hotel!

Hotel Review – The Colony Palm Beach
All it took was one weekend and I’m hooked on The Colony Palm Beach. From the hand-picked decor for every single room to the incredible food and the overall ambiance of the property – it’s all you could want (and more!) for a weekend getaway. Sure, it was a girl’s weekend this time. But, next time I’ll be taking the hubs and showing him what he missed out on.
Guest Rooms and Suites
Each guest room in the charming boutique hotel is slightly different and each has so much character. Jaime and I were lucky enough to stay in a suite and honestly – it might have been bigger than my last condo! From the lilac walls to the kelly green couch and hot pick chair, it all screams Palm Beach. Not to mention – the wallpaper in the walk-in closets is green and white striped! Every detail is accounted for at The Colony. After a day full of activities, I fell asleep the second my head hit the pillow. The beds are exceedingly comfortable. All in all, it was easily the most chic room I’ve ever stayed in.
The Food
OMG! If you followed along on IG stories, then you know how much I enjoyed the food at the hotel. To pick a favorite meal would be wrong – they were all so good! Instead, I’ll tell you a bit more about what we ate (if you sense jealousy starting, it’s normal – I promise). Lunch the first day consisted of the mahi tacos and the chicken stack with some glasses of rosé and prosecco. Then, when it came time for dinner – we went all out. The chop salad was easily one of the best salads I’ve ever had. Honestly, I’d come back just for that alone. I ordered the scallops and Jaime had the chicken xx. We could have probably stopped there, but of course we had to try dessert! Jaime and I split the apple pie with vanilla ice cream. Though I said I wouldn’t be hungry the next day, I somehow made room for more when it came to brunch. We split the grilled cheese avocado toast and the lobster benedict. Between that and the frosé, it was the best way to start the day.
If you’re local in South Florida, you always have the option of just coming into the property to dine. I suggest making a reservation for dinner.
Palm Beach Style
When it comes to packing your bag, don’t forget the essentials! You’ll be spending a fair amount of time poolside, so a cute suit like this one by Eberjey is a must. Also on your checklist should be a versatile tote. I customized one from Barrington Gifts to have for the trip. These bow sandals were the epitome of Palm Beach style and I also packed a few cute coverups. This pom pom dress is perfect for during the day. Then, my Santorini dress by Pitusa can double as a dress you could wear to lunch or dinner (also love this one).
Things to Do in Palm Beach
In my opinion, you really don’t need to go off property when it comes to staying at The Colony Hotel. From the pool to the restaurant, you’re pretty well covered. But, in the event you want to venture out, you have a number of options. Just steps away is the beach (see photos in this post), and you can borrow the bikes at the front of the hotel to venture over to the famous Worth Avenue shops. Pop into designer stores like Chanel and Van Cleef & Arpels. There are also a number of unique boutiques with their own Palm Beach flair. A short drive away, you can visit the shops at the Royal Poinciana Plaza. You’ll find Cynthia Rowley, Kirna Zabete and more there. And, no trip to Palm Beach would be complete without a pit stop at Restoration Hardware. The massive 3-story showroom offers a number of chic outdoor areas where you can relax. But, my preference is to eat upstairs in the rooftop restaurant (get the Delice de Borgogne cheese and strawberry preserve!).
Let’s Talk Price
The Colony Palm Beach definitely fits into the luxury category when it comes to hotels. So, you can expect to pay a bit more for a guest room. But, there’s a BIG swing in seasonal prices. For example, the rate for the weekend we stayed there was $200/night, where in season it can run around $500. For anyone in driving distance, take advantage of the remaining dates in August and September that are SUPER affordable! Right now they have an offer when you stay two nights you get the third free! They also have special rates for Florida residents.
Staycation, vacation – you name it. The Colony should be at the top of your list. It’s more than the property itself, it’s also the people. You can expect exceptional service from everyone at the hotel and it makes your trip that much more enjoyable.
