Grey is arguably my favorite color, next to white. Honestly, whether it’s light grey or dark grey doesn’t matter to me. Charcoal is just as chic as cloudy grey. I’ve been trying to be good with my shopping in preparation for our upcoming honeymoon, but this Free People split back sweater caught my eye during the recent Nordstrom sale. It wasn’t even included in the sale, and it sold out! But, the amazing news is that it’s since been restocked and you have NO reason to not run out and buy this baby. It’s so light and so soft. It’s the perfect transition sweater for Fall. I already know how I’ll wear it – paired with my favorite grey skinnies and booties, of course!

Sweater: Free People (also love this similar style, this one, this one with a ruffle hem and this one) // Denim: Citizens of Humanity (old, similar here) // Booties: Sam Edelman // Hat: Club Monaco (also love this one) // Bag: Rebecca Minkoff (also here and in blush here)
Sweater Season
We don’t really get a “Winter” down in South Florida, but that doesn’t stop me from stocking up on cute Free People sweaters every year. Last year, I scooped up a fair isle style that got a ton of wear. This year, I’ve already gotten the grey one and I’m now eyeing this white pullover sweater. It will go perfectly with my white jeans (or black skinnies) and a pair of over the knee boots. That slouchy style is so sexy too!
So, why Free People?
While I love brands like Theory and Vince for a high-quality cashmere sweater, Free People is more affordable. Nordstrom always has sales on their items and the quality is solid. At under $70, this sweater is a steal! With it’s cowl neck and stretch, you can wear it off the shoulder too like I did here. Even though the weather isn’t cold here (like, at all yet) I already wore this to the office since it gets so cold in there! This zip back style is also cute, but a bit more cropped in the front.
Hopefully your week is off to a great start! Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram. I don’t know about you guys, but I’m absolutely loving Instagram Stories! Many of my shopping adventures are documented there. So, be sure to check them out.
