The holidays are a time to wear lots of luxe textures, like cashmere knits or a great velvet blazer. Another chic option is to pair a faux fur jacket with a bright floral blouse like I’ve done here. I’m loving the look of this floral blouse with soft winter white hues. I like how feminine it looks with the faux fur, but if you wanted to, you could jazz it up with some glam details like this gold crossbody bag or clutch.
Jacket: Zara (old, also love this dupe, this longer version, and this) // Blouse: Intermix (also love this, this, and this) // Denim: AG Jeans (love these leggings too) // Pumps: Charles by Charles David // Bag: Forever 21 (old, here is the luxury option and another affordable option) // Earrings: Park Lane Jewerly c/o (similar here)
Don’t get me wrong. I love a little black dress with some lace details or a Peter Pan collar for Christmas parties. But, it can be fun to switch things up with a totally fresh look. When I saw the tiered sleeves and ruffles on this floral blouse, I knew it would be a great staple in my closet for Spring and Summer. However, the bold red and purple colors in the print also make it a great option for holiday parties! I’d love to wear it with this sequin blazer, white leggings and these knee high boots for when we go up North later this week. This top by Rebecca Taylor would look gorgeous with velvet pants and a black blazer too.
If you like your look to have some darker tones in it, try this gorgeous floral dress (also from Intermix) with punches of red, like this scarf or this beanie.
I rarely need a heavier layer in South Florida, but since I get cold easily I always bring something with me when we go out. My jacket is from Zara last year. I actually tried it on in Italy when I was on vacation there with my mom. It was one of those things where I kept thinking about it, so I hopped online when we got back to the States and bought it before it sold out! I’ve gotten some great use out of it, most recently at a friend’s wedding. This longer faux fur coat by Eliza J is beautiful and comes in a few colors. It looks chic by itself, but you could also belt it like Blair Eadie did from Atlantic Pacific blog.
