Q: What camera are you using?
A: I’ve originally started with a Nikon D5000 that I used for a few years. But, I recently upgraded to a Sony Alpha A7 II. It was an investment (and so was the 55mm lens), but the photos are crisper and I think it makes a big difference in the quality you see on the blog.
Q: Who takes your pictures?
A: My tripod! Just kidding… my husband takes some of my shots, but I take most of my pictures. I use a wireless shutter remote that works with my camera in order to get full shots and varied angles.
Q: What sizes are you normally wearing in your posts?
A: It depends on the brand, but in most cases I’m a small in tops and a 2 or 4 in pants (and dresses and skirts). In jeans I’m almost always a 27, but I’m not against sizing up to get a better fit based on the material mix.
Q: What size shoe do you wear?
A: I wear a size 8.5 or 9.
Q: What are the classic pieces you constantly reach for in your closet?
A: I work in a corporate environment, so I grab my black tuxedo blazer with leather trim on the regular to add a level of professionalism even when I’m in jeans. I rotate between my black skinny jeans and my grey skinnies. I’ve also been living in my Converse Shoreline sneakers on the weekend.
Q: What are the beauty items you can’t live without?
A: I LOVE the Caudalie brand for skincare and I’ve become a total Charlotte Tilbury addict these last few months. They’re both a little pricey, but worth the investment. I use NARS foundation and blush. I’ve been experimenting with lipsticks and gloss so much lately that it would be hard to pick just one. But, BITE Beauty high pigment pencils make my life so much easier!
Q: Do you gravitate towards certain brands or stores?
A: YES! I have a blend of designers and companies I purchase from regularly including Ann Taylor, ASOS, Bloomingdales, DVF, JCrew, LOFT, Saks Fifth Avenue, Shopbop, Tory Burch, and Zara.
Q: What trends are you loving right now?
A: I am totally into monochrome dressing! Whether it’s grey on grey or all white – it’s right up my alley.
XO,
Amanda
