When I saw this Cynthia Rowley floral dress online, I pretty much imagined myself in it in a million different places. It would be perfect for a date night out with Matt, a dinner party with friends at the house, or even ringing in the New Year! The feminine fit and flare style is easy to wear and the lines hit in just the right place to cinch in your waist. Paired with my favorite Chelsea booties from ASKA Collection, I’m Fall fashion ready.
Dress: Cynthia Rowley (also love this one and this lace one) // Booties: ASKA Collection // Bag: Chanel (similar here) // Bracelet: JCrew (similar here, here, and here) // Watch: Michael Kors (ON SALE!)
I’ve had a lot going on these past few weeks and it’s been really hard to post regularly from the road as I travel. From getting engaged, to starting to wedding plan and I’m now preparing for a major career change. Blogging has been a much greater time investment than I originally thought it would be and while I love doing it – it’s a full time job in and of itself! The Atlantic published this great story about The Invisible Labor of Fashion Blogging and so much of it resonated with me. I started A Glam Lifestyle as a resource for fashion-forward working women who want to push the (style) envelope at work and transition their looks to personal events. Its been challenging to dedicate myself to it as much as I’d like, but its also been extremely rewarding to hear from people that they love reading my tips and tricks for putting together a signature look. It makes the late nights worthwhile!
Anyways, I have so much great Fall fashion to share with you guys so I’m going to try to get caught up over the next few weeks with many of my great finds, starting with this Cynthia Rowley floral dress I picked up at Lord & Taylor. Fall fashion is in full swing, so to me that means darker floral prints, textured fabric and booties!
I sized up in this dress, and even now it’s still a bit snug. So, if you’re between sizes, definitely go with the larger of the two. My look is normally fairly tailored, and this dress is no different. It features a jewel neckline, which is classically chic, and the full skirt makes it uber-feminine.
I paired the look with my classic link bracelet from JCrew and Michael Kors Lexington watch. The bracelet isn’t currently available, but it tends to be restocked during the holidays. I love this similar one by Julie Vos.
These chelsea-style booties from ASKA Collection are a splurge, but I’m so glad I got them. They feel like butter and required no breaking in at all. I also sized up in these as well a half size. They’ll probably stretch a little, but I’m all about comfort when it comes to my feet and I plan to wear socks with these babies. I have also been wearing these black patent booties from French Connection non-stop and they’re now ON SALE at Saks Off 5th. I liked them so much I bought a second pair for when I wear these out. Do yourself a favor and buy them now before they sell out!
As it gets a little colder, I’ll style floral jacquard dress this with sheer black tights and a turtleneck. For the office, I might put a white button up with french cuffs underneath. If you’re in the Northeast and want a long-sleeve look, I love this Cynthia Rowley floral dress in midi length.
