An adult onesie? “Nah, I’ll never wear that,” I said. But, by the middle of my second trimester when my belly popped and in all of my third tri I was craving easy outfits that flattered my new, growing body. One of the best ways to make getting dressed a breeze is to add a few cute maternity rompers and jumpsuits to your closet. Go ahead. Call it an adult onesie! It’s very much on trend and a perfect way to slay your pregnancy style. They’re super convenient to wear and great for running errands or going to brunch. When styled the right way they’re also a polished look for work. Below are a few rompers I wore during my pregnancy and a round up of other cute maternity rompers and jumpsuits that can accommodate a growing baby bump.

7 Cute Maternity Rompers And Jumpsuits
My sisters-in-law always say I’m lucky that I’m pregnant now when so many retailers and brands make the cutest clothes to dress the bump. The selections are the best at Pink Blush Maternity, Target (very affordable!) and Hatch (a bit pricier but amazing quality). But, Amazon and others have great maternity pieces too.
I’ve embraced maternity rompers since I spent several months over the summer pregnant when it can hit 100 degrees here! Below are a few I own and a few others I wish I purchased.
Bumpsuit The Cindy Romper
I shared my love for Bumpsuit in this post with my maternity pics. But, the Cindy romper is a best seller for a reason. The buttery soft material is a brushed jersey that’s double lined and feels amazing next to your body. And, their four-way stretch knows no limits as your belly grows. It comes in seven gorgeous colors and is just over $100. I’m wearing the toffee color. They make many other styles too!
Vuori Studio Onesie
My Vuori performance joggers were a must-have during the first tri (and I reviewed the brand here). So, it only made sense to try the studio onesie when I saw it pop up in the new arrivals section of their site. I love how it looks paired with blazers (mine is Anine Bing)! It instantly elevates the look. But, it looks equally as good with my fav denim jacket too.
Aritzia Surge Romper
It’s so hard to pick a favorite, but I absolutely love this romper from Aritzia. It comes in 9 colors (mine is Epicurean Brown) and is well-priced at $78 for the amazing quality. With a modest scoop neck in the front and a cross back strap, you can still rock a strapless bra (like I did) with this style. It’s made of cotton, so it’s soft. But, it also wicks away sweat. So, you could do some light workouts in it too, like yoga.
FP Movement Free Throw Onesie
The Free People jumpsuit that started it all for me! I purchased this hot pink onesie during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. But, I ultimately decided the color wasn’t for me. It comes in a few other colors, but they do sell out quickly! The style and fit is incredibly flattering, making it the perfect maternity jumpsuit. But, if you’re heavier in the chest you’ll likely want to wear petals on the ladies since it has an open back. Take your normal size!
Hatch The 24/7 Feeding Jumpsuit
This jumpsuit by Hatch is the one that got away! I so wish I purchased this while I was pregnant or at the beginning of my breastfeeding journey. The pointelle detail is darling, giving it a feminine touch. I’d wear this with sandals in the summer or sneakers on the go. Plus, I think you can sleep in it too. It does it all.
Lululemon Align Bodysuit
How I haven’t clicked “add to cart” on the Align jumpsuit is honestly shocking to me. I constantly see people styling this on social media. If the stretch is anything like the the Align leggings, then this will grow with you for many months. I’d suggest sizing up one size (which is what I did with my leggings). The align top runs small, so if you’re well-endowed you may want to go up two sizes.
Pink Blush Maternity Button Down Maternity Sweater Romper
Boho style your vibe? This maternity sweater romper is going to be right up your alley. I love the long sleeves and the button up style will make it great for nursing later too. It comes in four different colors and also has large pockets perfect for storing your phone. At $72, it’s a good price and they always have great sales.
How To Wear Rompers And Jumpsuits During Pregnancy
Maternity Romper and Blazer
Quite possibly the easiest (and laziest) outfit while pregnant – a maternity romper topped with a chic blazer. Will the blazer button? Maybe not. But, does it put off chic vibes. I love any blazer by Anine Bing (especially this one – I’m in a small) because they’re cut slightly large and are perfect for any meetings you need to take (in person or via Zoom). I also love this one.
Styled with a denim jacket
My denim jacket has been in my closet for nearly a decade and it’s still available in stores, which tells you how timeless it can be. You can wear your jean jacket two ways with your maternity romper or jumpsuit. First, throw it over your shoulders. Or, my personal favorite – tie it around your waist! This works a bit better in your second trimester than your third. But, you can always tie it at the top part of your bump where your waist is smallest.
Throw on an oversized sweatshirt
The later you get in your pregnancy, the more comfy you’ll want to be. If your romper is sleeveless, put on an oversized sweatshirt to stay cozy. Add your favorite sneakers to accessorize the look. I continually reached for these velcro sneaks because my feet swelled up!
Top with a coatigan
There’s a reason this coatigan sells out over and over again and you absolutely need it for when you’re pregnant. I just purchased the white, but the camel color is a must-have. It’s the perfect topper for daily wear. But, I also adore it for travel. What’s a coatigan? It’s heavier than a cardigan, but but not as heavy as a coat. So, it works beautifully across seasons. I like to wear this with sneakers or ankle booties since it’s a great transitional piece.
With your favorite cardi
You can always add your favorite cardi to your jumpsuit for those warmer spring days that still get chilly in the evening or when you keep your house below 72 degrees! I keep a few handy on my clothing rack, but I also love this matching ribbed set!
Paired with a shirt jacket
Fall is all about a shirt jacket (or “shacket”), so keep one close to wear with your rompers. There are so many cute ones at a range of price points, so finding one that’s affordable is easy. I recently purchased this one and love the neutral print. This one from Revolve is always a top seller!
Comfort becomes increasingly important the bigger your belly gets. If you’ve been hesitant to try a maternity romper or jumpsuit, this is your sign to give it a try!
