Finally! Some Fall weather came our way where it actually made sense to throw on this cozy Chicwish sweater dress that I’ve been dying to wear. It won’t last long here, but we embrace just about any day here under 60 degrees. The fit of this dress is oversized, which I love. But, I wanted it to look a bit more pulled together. The easiest way to add some edge to your outfit are great accessories, so I cinched the waist with my Gucci belt and then threw on my fave slouchy boots from M Gemi (last seen here and here).

How to Style a Chicwish Sweater Dress
For a girl who lives in an area where it’s rarely cold, I sure have a lot of Fall and Winter wear! I can’t seem to help myself from stocking up on new sweaters and this Chicwish sweater dress was no exception. At just under $60, it’s a STEAL! The military green color sealed the deal for me. I’ve been majorly crushing on camo lately, so the color on this sweater dress caught my eye. This grey cable knit beauty is also on my wishlist, as is this cream ruffled frock.
It’s tough to find a sweater dress that doesn’t overwhelm your frame. I’ve probably tried on a dozen or two the last few years that just didn’t flatter me. Then, I figured out the trick. By adding a belt you can easily define your waist. This Gucci belt has been seen on countless bloggers over the past year and it’s absolutely an investment piece. But, it really makes a gorgeous statement for your outfit. Aside from styling it like I did here, you can also make it an everyday piece by wearing it with denim and a classic white shirt or sweater like this one (so cute!).
Then, throw on some ankle booties or your favorite knee high boots. Mine are from M.Gemi, but this pair is super similar. All your sweater dress needs is a cute belt and great pair of booths and you’re set!
