One of my favorite cities is Washington D.C. and for all the times I have visited, I had never seen the cherry blossoms in bloom. I wore this classic black and white suit look to a client meeting (this leather trim tuxedo blazer is on repeat!) and made sure to leave extra early to be able to check out the famed Tidal Basin area around the Jefferson Memorial to see these beauties. It was well worth the early wake up time!
CLASSIC BLACK AND WHITE SUIT
Blazer: Ann Taylor (similar here and love this look here) // Bodysuit: 424 Fifth // Pants: The Limited (old, another color here and similar fit here) // Shoes: Max and Co. (old, other colors here and here) // Bag: Phillip Lim for Target (old, the real deal here and similar here) // Bangles: Alexis Bittar (last seen here)
This classic black and white outfit was perfect for a meeting with clients in DC. The blazer and pants are actually separates from different stores, but they each fit so well and black with black always matches. The jacket just recently sold out at Ann Taylor, so I’m linking to a similar leather-trimmed blazer and another option here.
I am crazy about the white racerback bodysuit in this look. I love wearing white this season, but I am also sure when I buy something new that my pieces aren’t too sheer so that I can wear them at work or with clients. This bodysuit is double-lined and currently on sale at Lord & Taylor.
I normally opt for heels, but I’ve been traveling so much lately that I decided to go with my Max and Co. oxfords that are great for walking. This nude ‘Fernanda’ style from Nordstrom are clean and the color will go with everything. I knew I wanted to try to see the cherry blossoms around the Tidal Basin while I was in the city, so wearing heels wasn’t going to be great for that either.
What’s your favorite look for a client meeting? Do you opt for a dress or a suit? I would love to hear about your go-to look!
