Do I look like I’m freezing? If you answered yes, you’re absolutely right! It was in the mid-thirties the second day we were in Chillicothe visiting Matt’s family and I think some people would consider that warm! My cheeks were rosy and I pretty much couldn’t feel my hands. But, that’s the thing with being from Florida, where we probably get a solid two weeks of 50 degree temps. You’re pretty much always cold once it drops below 70. To attempt to fend off the frost bite (okay…. maybe I’m exaggerating), I wore the Stuart Weitzman Highland boots I scored on Black Friday sale and the Club Monaco coat I next to never took off the month of December (last seen here and here). Additionally, I’m sharing a Chloe Faye bag review in this post. It was my Christmas gift from Matt and it legitimately hasn’t been put down since the day after I received it. It’s that good!

Chloe Faye Bag Review
Designer bags can be gorgeous additions to your wardrobe, but they’re absolutely an investment. If you read the first paragraph to this post and thought Matt bought me the bag outright you’re crazy! We don’t budget nearly that amount for each other for Christmas gifts. My present from Matt was a combination of his contribution, plus several hundred dollars I had in gift cards, a great deal on the bag during the holidays, and some funding from me.
In all transparency, it wasn’t the original bag I asked for. I wanted the Gucci Dionysus Mini but it was sold out at Neiman Marcus (remember – I had gift cards). Truthfully, it was a blessing in disguise because I’m getting far greater use out of the Chloe Faye than I would have from that.
Pros and Cons of the Chloe Faye Bag
So, I’m going to keep it real with you guys and go over exactly what I love about my new bag and a few things you should keep in mind that might be seen as negatives.
- PRO – The bag is such a statement piece. I’ve had plenty of compliments from women in the last few weeks and a handful of them from MEN!! Yes!! This bag catches everyone’s eye.
- PRO – The Chloe Faye bag is much larger than it appears. There are several sections in the bag, but even with all of my stuff added it’s still chic and slim.
- PRO – The color of this bag is called ‘Motty Gray’ and I describe it as a cross between taupe and light gray. It. Goes. With. Everything! Also, the hardware is mixed. It’s a pale gold and silver tone. Again – it will literally complement all of your outfits.
- CON – It is a true shoulder bag. So, you won’t see me wearing this baby crossbody. I was concerned originally. However, there have been no issues with this staying in place.
- CON – Just a few lines up I noted that the Chloe Faye bag is divided in the interior into sections and is bigger than it seems. But, I need to disclose that it doesn’t really have a “big” section. It doesn’t bother me at all. There are a few totes already in my closet that I can use if I need to pile lots of items into it. At the same time, if you’re looking for a tote bag – this isn’t it.
So, Should You Buy this Chloe Bag?
Of course you should! Okay, perhaps the two “cons” listed aren’t really unpleasant features or qualities of the bag! That said, they are things to take into consideration if you’re going to splurge on this beauty. If you’re not quite ready to spend on the real deal – then get the dupe! It’s less than $30.
