The last week has been absolutely crazy. I’m so sorry for being totally M.I.A! Matt and I flew to Los Angeles to shoot our engagement photos with our amazing photographer, Jana Williams. From there we went to San Francisco and Napa for the weekend for our food tasting, cake tasting, venue walk-through and floral mock-up! It was all so much fun and the everything is going to be beautiful. Anyways, I bought this black sheer blouse back around the holidays, and it’s finally making it’s debut here now!

How to Wear a Black Sheer Blouse
Of course, since I took too long to share this romantic black sheer blouse from Ann Taylor, it’s no longer available. So, I’ve found a ton of other options which are really similar. I really like this one from the Olivia Palermo x Chelsea28 line (see my other must-have pieces from that collection here). The price is right (and I love turtlenecks). This bow blouse from ASOS is nearly identical and under $50. For a splurge, I’d recommend this gorgeous sheer DVF top. It also comes in this dotted black and white print which I absolutely love (please go on sale soon!).
Admittedly, I was slightly intimidated by sheer clothing. Showing an obscene amount of skin just doesn’t make me feel comfortable. So, with the black sheer blouse already being subtly sexy itself, I kept the look easy with black denim and my favorite d’orsay pumps. For a date night I might have paired it with a pencil skirt or black culotte’s.
Have you embraced the sheer trend? I’d love to hear how you’re integrating it into your look. Don’t forget to follow me on Bloglovin’ too. It’s a simple way to follow my blog and get updates on my latest posts! Have a fabulous weekend!
