There’s no denying it – the biker short trend is on fire! Scroll down for my tips on how to wear your favorite biker shorts this season!
While I was slow to get on board with it over the last year, I’m now a supporter of wearing biker shorts. I’ll admit I’ve sort of eased into them, primarily wearing them as a form of athleisure. But, there are tons of ways you can style biker shorts. So, in this post I’m putting together a few different biker short outfit ideas for you that you can wear to activities with kids, casual date night out or while you’re lounging around the house.

How to Wear the Biker Short Trend: A Few Outfit Ideas
Biker Shorts as Athleisure
Like I said above, I’ve mostly been wearing bikers shorts in lieu of leggings when I work out. Firstly, Florida is ridiculously hot right now and they just keep you cooler. So, the first way to wait them is to pair with an easy workout tank like this one from Lululemon and your fav pair of athletic sneakers. I get most of my APL sneakers at Shopbop. They have the best selection. My shorts are sold out. But, I’m loving this similar pair from Free People and these from Nordstrom.
Loungewear Outfits
If you’re stuck on leggings as your preferred bottom for working out, another way you can start to work biker shorts into your style is as loungewear. I recently ordered this soft pink pair by Free People and am OBSESSED! Matter of fact, I’ll likely wear them tomorrow with a cozy sweater, this long-sleeved tee, or this henley. Believe me – they look tiny coming out of the package. But, they have a ton of stretch and the high-rise fit is so flattering. The ribbed fabric is beyond soft and makes your butt look great too (bonus points, right?).
Biker Shorts as Streetwear Style
Maybe you’re ready to be bold and rock the biker shorts trend out of the house! I haven’t quite gotten there yet. But, I’ve already styled a few looks in my head that I’ll wear soon. When it comes to streetwear, my two favs are this leopard pair from Onzie (less expensive option here) and this faux leather camo print from Spanx. For a casual look while running errands you could throw on this muscle tee and tie your denim jacket around your waist. Or, you could reach for this cropped hoodie. Then, accessorize with this white hat and a cute pair of studded sneakers.
Date Night Style
Lastly, you can make biker shorts work for date night too! This faux leather moto pair is perfect with a vintage tee, leather jacket and heels. Jazz it up with a designer bag like this one from YSL. It’s a classic camera bag style that you’ll get tons of wear with for years to come.
Hopefully this has given you lots of outfit inspiration for how to wear biker shorts! I know they can be quite intimidating and probably seem a bit trendy. But, after making it mainstream last year, they’re back for summer and there are lots of cute, affordable options.
