It’s official – we are 120 days away from our wedding! In honor of that countdown, I’m kicking off my first post in my Wedding Wednesday series. This last weekend, I went shopping for bridesmaid dresses with my mother and my Maid of Honor, Aly. I was expecting it to be painful and difficult to come to a final decision. Instead, it was surprisingly easy with the help of the team at Bella Bridesmaid West Palm Beach.
Shop my picks:
When it comes to picking a bridesmaid dress, you first have to consider the overall aesthetic of your wedding. Since we’ll be saying “I Do” in romantic Napa Valley, we’re going for a vibe I’ve dubbed “boho glam.” We have two directions we can go with the bridesmaid dresses – a bit more glamorous, or more garden party themed.
The Amsale collection dresses are the definition of beautiful. Many of them come in the same style, but different fabrics. We pored over the options (Bella Bridesmaid has nearly the entire line) and I kept leaning toward the tulle versus chiffon. Ultimately, the tulle adds more texture and drama to the look. If we select these, they will more closely match the material in my gown. My favorites from Amsale were the one-shoulder, v-neck, and the standard illusion neckline.
We’re having an intimate wedding with only 3 in the bridal party and I can see these bridesmaid dresses working very well together.
Aly is nearly 8 months pregnant, but she was a trooper trying on dresses! I’ve seen these gorgeous beaded styles from Adrianna Papell (above) in numerous weddings and absolutely love them. The one-shoulder was again a favorite for me. Perhaps it’s because it worked really well for maternity needs too!
Faren at Bella Bridesmaid (who is a complete doll!) was sure to point out potential disadvantages for each dress we considered. For example, there could be slight color differences with the different styles, like this one. She took time to ask questions about our wedding and really be sure the bridesmaid dresses we picked would be the best fit for our celebration. We were also the only appointment at the store, so the sales team’s attention was 100% dedicated to us.
So, which dress did I pick out of all these fabulous styles and designers? You’ll have to wait to find out! We’re just 4 short months away from the wedding, when my final pick for the girls will be revealed.
Which of the dresses in my list were your favorite?
