Women are constantly chasing the fountain of youth. It’s what so many products claim to have in their magical formulas. But, most don’t come anywhere close. At the heart of reducing those fine lines and crows feet is an amazing skincare routine. It can make your skin healthier, delay the signs of aging and give you an incredible glow. Enter Augustinus Bader. The “best skincare in the world.” A “miracle cream.” Revolutionary skincare. Call it what you want, the Rich Cream (and many of it’s sister products) by Augustinus Bader is pretty fabulous. I’m sharing my unfiltered opinion in my post today with a full Augustinus Bader skincare review.
About two months ago I had a chance to sit in a lunch meeting on Zoom speaking with Professor Augustinus Bader himself with his business partner Charles Rosier. They’re a charming pair with such an interesting story on how they got started in the skin care business. It turns out that the key ingredient in a medical grade wound gel created in 2008 had properties that helped traumatic injuries heal without surgery. Nearly a decade after that breakthrough, Augustinus Bader skincare launched.

Augustinus Bader Skincare Review
Okay… so what? What do these little blue bottles have in them that makes a difference? Bader’s ethos is that, “everything your body needs, it already knows.” So, harnessing the power of stem cell research the collection includes TFC8®, or Trigger Factor Complex 8 – a patented technology and proprietary blend of amino acids, high-grade vitamins and synthesized molecules naturally found in the skin. This secretive cocktail has proven to slow that aging process, reducing fine lines, hyperpigmentation, and even tone to give you glowing skin. COUNT. ME. IN!
How do we know it’s good? Well, until earlier this year the brand hadn’t done any advertising (since their 2018 debut). The products accumulated their icon status simply by word of mouth. If that doesn’t speak for itself, I don’t know what does!
The fact that they’re fragrance free and cruelty free is the icing on the cake.
The Rich Cream
The sister to the original cult classic, the Cream, the Rich Cream is what I’ve been using the last two months. My first impression was less than stellar. “Is it doing anything?” I wondered.
The brand recommends you push nearly all other products to the side, dedicating a full 27 days to using the cream in order to maximize your results. If you know me – this is nearly impossible. I’m not the complete “more is more” girl, but I love my skincare routine. So, I went against the grain. I didn’t modify my normal face wash, serum, moisturizer, eye cream flow. And, it turns out it didn’t matter. After a little more than two weeks, I started seeing what all the fuss is about.
For me, it’s most noticeable in my pores. The Rich Cream dramatically reduces my pore size on my cheeks and around my nose. And, my skin looks smoother and feels tighter. The TFC8® targeted my visible pores just like it claims and I truly had a glow up in the morning that made me look like I was well rested (even if I wasn’t).
So, these results led me to ask a few silly questions to Professor Bader on our call.
The first, “Am I using too much? I feel like I need more than the recommended two pumps.” His response was to use the amount that felt right for my skin. So sensible.
My second question was more of a statement, “I want to put this all over my neck and décolletage. Is that wrong!?” His chuckle was endearing and then his response led me to something I didn’t know existed. “Use our Body Cream instead.” Ummm, what? More on that below.
The verdict? I love this cream. But, to stretch out the lifetime of the product I think I could get the small size and use it every few days. That way, it doesn’t break the bank.
Price: $85-265
The Body Cream
While I may have been skeptic about the Rich Cream initially, it was love at first application with the Body Cream. Infused with TFC8®, this decadent cream is thick and hydrating in the best possible way. You can truly lather this all over your body. But, I’m using it on my neck and décolletage exclusively to keep any fine lines and wrinkles at bay in that area (thank you Florida sun…). The jar is huge. So, it will last for months even with everyday use.
This splurge-worthy cream has won all sorts of awards and I understand why. There have been studies that prove it’s effectiveness on reducing stretchmarks and cellulite. By triggering our innate cellular renewal, these products somehow achieve the best possible results of younger, tighter looking skin.
Price: $165 and worth every penny
The Body Oil
Another new(er) product to the collection, the Body Oil hydrates and nourishes your skin. I love a great body oil, but using one isn’t apart of my daily routine. I tend to reach for this when I have dry skin or I want to give my legs a nice sheen. It’s not a glow per se, but more like a silky blend that doesn’t leave your skin greasy. You can use this morning or night and it includes the wonder mix of amino acids, vitamins and synthesized molecules that the TFC8® trigger factor complex is known for.
Price: $30-95
The Cream Cleansing Gel
Of all the Augustinus Bader products I’ve tested thus far, the Cream Cleansing Gel is my least favorite. Why? Well, honestly I don’t love a gel cleanser. Period. I can think of 1-2 off the top of my head (see this post). But, I’m really more of a foaming cleanser kinda gal. That said, this product is powered by TFC8® again. So, this cleanser combined with the Rich Cream could really be a 1-2 punch.
What I loved about this cleanser was the way it took off my makeup. I normally double cleanse, but WOW this gently took off all the gunk and didn’t irritate my eyes or dry me out.
Look – not everything can be a luxe product in your skincare routine. While I liked this, I would stick to the Rich Cream and/or Body Cream if you’re getting just one thing.
Price: $20-65
That wraps up my Augustinus Bader skincare review! I always say – not every product is worth a splurge. But, Augustinus Bader is actively trying to prove me wrong! Without hesitation my notable standouts from the collection are the Rich Cream and the Body Cream. But, I’ll be the first person in line to try pretty much anything else they offer, as well as any new skincare products that are launched (this is me willing an eye cream to come to market). If luxe skincare is the game, Augustinus Bader is the name.
Thank you to BPCM for gifting me and allowing me to try these incredible products. Although I was gifted, as always all opinions are my own.
