Living in South Florida, you can imagine we spend quite a bit of time outside in the Summer. We recently refreshed our patio with Kohl’s outdoor decor to give the space a cozy feel and I’m sharing all the details in today’s post. Scroll down for more info!
As a kid, I spent countless hours outside and in the pool. So, when we first toured our house, the large patio and palm trees by the pool won me over. Now, one of the things I enjoy most is when we have friends or family come over and we have drinks outside while their kids play. We bought some grey teak patio furniture that we absolutely love about a year ago. But, we didn’t have any decor to complete the space. I started planning the space and shopping around only to find that Kohl’s outdoor decor selection is pretty massive! I was able to find chic pieces like these gold lanterns and ceramic stools that look expensive but are available at great prices. Slowly but surely, it started to come together.

Refreshing Our Patio with Kohl’s Outdoor Decor:
Our patio is basically one massive rectangular space. So, I knew going into things that I wanted to create two separate areas – one for dining and another for lounging. For today’s post, I’m focused on the sitting area and I’m so happy with how it came out.
Our home decor vibe is essentially a mix of french county and modern classic throughout. We use a lot of neutral colors and our outdoor area is now the same. For example, these cream throw pillows are a soft detail that elevate the space but keep it clean.
On both sides of our couch, there are white ceramic garden stools that double as side tables and gold lanterns with flameless candles to accent the furniture. Then, We hung string lights similar to these on the edge of the porch overhang to create a whimsical feel at night.
Accenting your Patio Decor with Faux Florals
Perhaps the most surprising find in the Kohl’s outdoor decor section of their website are the faux florals. As the daughter of a commercial landscaper, I’m sad to report that I did not inherit a green thumb. But, good news! The orchid set I put in our planter look SO real! It’s my way of adding some color to the decor. So, I plan to get a few more to use in other areas. This succulent planter is a nice touch on the coffee table too.
The last piece to complete the space will be a new rug. We don’t need one quite yet. But, Kohl’s has a ton to choose from and I’m eyeing this one and this one.
Now, we love sitting outside after dinner even more since the space feels cozier!
