Growing up, I lived in cutoff shorts and cute girly tops. They sort of became my “summer uniform”. Today, it’s pretty much the same! This past week has been absolutely brutal weather-wise, with temps in the high 90’s and humidity basically melting the makeup off my face (cute, right?!). Wearing breathable fabrics has been an absolute necessity. That said, in today’s post I’ve teamed up with Bella Dahl to share a few favorites that are on repeat for summer, like this top and this romper. Their clothes are super light, super soft and so easy to wear. It’s exactly what you need to stay cool and look chic for those hot summer days.

My Summer Uniform with Bella Dahl
The days are literally flying by and kids are already going back to school in the next few weeks. But, those hot summer days will be around in South Florida for months to come. It comes with the reality of being a tropical paradise!
A brand that I regularly turn to for cute summer outfits is Bella Dahl. I discovered them years ago at Bloomingdales. And, fun fact – several of my first looks ever posted on AGL included their classic chambray top and an adorable polka dot dress.
Three Summer Outfits with Bella Dahl
One of the reasons I love the brand so much is their soft materials. When I look back at pictures of outfits where I was clearly uncomfortable, I just have to laugh! Everything I wear these days is about comfort. All of the items I styled by Bella Dahl were like buttahhhh! Quick note – when you wash them, dry them for a few minutes and then let them air dry the rest of the way. They stay super soft that way.
Crop top
My most worn outfit included their ruffle crop top (shocking!). You can easily throw on this crop top with denim shorts or jeans is a classic look. While it’s called a crop, I didn’t have any belly showing. But, I do have a short torso. If you don’t like to show a lot of skin, then grab a pair of high rise shorts.
Romper
Then, this striped romper made for another adorable summer outfit. The back has a big bow you can tie at the neck and it crisscrosses. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen me wear these Sole Society sandals a handful of times. I got them in the dusty rose color, but the taupe would be a great neutral.
Shirt dress
Last, but certainly not least, this grey ruffle shirt dress (swoon!). I can’t say enough about this dress. Pretty much anytime I get an opportunity to wear it, I put it on. My first look was more casual with white slides and a cute boater hat. Then, to dress it up I grabbed my IRO white leather jacket (less expensive here) and my favorite M.Gemi Felize loafers (white still available in a few sizes, but there are 10 other colors!). I own 3 pairs of these Felize loafers! And, two of them are white because I loved them so much I bought a back up pair! Do yourself a favor – buy a pair!
Enjoy the weekend!
