In one of my last posts, I talked about the difference between a show and a presentation at fashion week. While the runway shows are exciting, I love the ability to get up close to the collection at a presentation. After seeing the Jill Stuart Fall Winter ’17 collection, I’ll literally be counting down the minutes until I can get my hands on a few of the extraordinary dresses. The movement of each piece captivated me and the textures and layers and sparkle just stole my heart on scene. With my trip to Paris coming up in just the next few weeks, I looked for a Jill Stuart dress I could bring with me. This blush beauty is on its way to me now and I can’t wait to wear it at the Eiffel Tower.

Romantic Fall Winter Collection by Jill Stuart
If the Jill Stuart presentation is any indication of the glamour of the Fall Winter collections that are soon to be released, then my wallet is in trouble. From the velvet fabrics to the gold details and ruffles accentuating many garments, I was in heaven. I’ve heard of the designer before, and I’ve seen many a celebrity don her gorgeous dresses in the past. But, seeing it in person and in such a stunning venue just made the whole experience new and invigorating. Never before have I connected with a brand so quickly when it comes to my style.
As you know, I’ve been streamlining my closet and items I buy to be more in-sync with my style. The Jill Stuart collection couldn’t be a better fit for me. Each of the dresses, tops, jackets and coats were tailored to perfection. The sheer dresses with polka dots and long brocade stitched coat were opulent. But it was also so feminine and powerful at the same time. This was the only event at fashion week where when I said, “I want it all” – I literally meant it.
There’s More – Jill Jill Stuart
Luckily for me (and all you ladies looking for affordable fashion), the designer also has a second version of her namesake brand that’s slightly lower priced, Jill Jill Stuart. While I joke above about picking up a few of these stunning pieces, I’ll be waiting for them to go on sale at Shopbop or Nordstrom.
I’m starting to coordinate my outfits for Paris and while I’m there with my mom I’ll be shooting with a photographer for a few looks for the blog. As of now, the plan is to bring this high-low blush dress that’s on super sale right now. But, if for some reason that doesn’t fit, I’ll likely grab this white bell sleeve dress instead. For a pop of color, this red and pink dress would be so pretty. It” be great to wear for a wedding.
Which of the dresses shown above are your favorite? I think mine is the velvet fitted dress with the sheer floral piece underneath!
