It’s been more than 7 years now that I’ve been shopping the NSale. While some things change year to year as far as how the sale works, it’s pretty predictable at this point. This year’s selection is good, with lots of great brands I regularly shop participating like Varley, Rails, Zella, Marc Fisher and more. This post is focused on what I’m buying from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2024. Like in past years, I’ll do a follow up post stying the items I get and keep.

What I’m Buying from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2024
My NSale wishlist is always mix of chic workwear pieces, easy ready-to-wear items like this floral dress, and cozy loungewear. These days I’m wearing a lot of what I’d call comfy clothes. That doesn’t necessarily mean athleisure. But it means things that make me feel good and that aren’t skin tight. Not that there’s anything wrong with that! I’m just in the toddler-chasing stage of life (and loving it).

For instance, I’m looking to get this black vest and wear it a bit more fitted. Then, I’ll pair it with either these black straight leg pants from one of my fave affordable brands Wit & Wisdom. That would make an easy work outfit. Or, it could look really cute with a pencil skirt like this one if you want to dress it up for drinks or dinner out with the girls or your significant other. I’ll also wear the black pants with this chocolate brown cashmere sweater. The short sleeves make it so versatile.
Every year I like to get one nice blazer or jacket. This year it’s the Holiday Crop Jacket by Theory which is a lady jacket style that I’ve been eyeing for months from a few other brands. It will be my splurge piece at $265.99! It can dress up a simple t-shirt and jeans for a quiet luxury vibe.
When I say “comfy clothes” I also mean dresses that I can run around and chase Everett in like this luxe cashmere dress that will be perfect in fall and winter. Of course I have to grab this puff sleeve dress too. I already have it in another print from last year or the year before. It’s very flattering with the “V” neckline and stretchy waist that gives you some definition. I’ll wear both of these with some Marc Fisher shoes. Their shoes require next to no breaking in and I love the Mary Jane detail on these flats.

Also on my list are a few athleisure items like this matching set from Zella with the half-zip performance top and live-in pocket joggers ($44.99 and $42.99 respectively). When the pieces coordinate you always look put together, even if it’s at daycare drop-off.
The last two years I skipped this sleeveless sport dress by Zella. It looks super cute on everyone. So, I’m going to try to get it before it inevitably sells out.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Accessories and Shoes
Oh, and shoes and accessories! For jewelry, I am a big Monica Vinader fan. So, this heart necklace is one of the first things I’m adding to my cart. It’s a great every day piece. And, finally I’m hoping to get these clear sunnies from Le Specs. Sunglasses are hit or miss for me. We shall see how these look!
Then, for shoes I was surprised to see the retro sneakers from Rag & Bone are back this year (soooo good – my top pick from last year’s NSale). If you’re in the market for a classic white sneaker – this pair by Cole Haan are beyond comfortable (like wear all day when you’re on a trip or walking non-stop). For flats, you can’t go wrong with the pointy toe Mary Janes I mentioned above.
