There aren’t a lot of things stronger than a special mother daughter bond. Mom and I have had similar taste and style since I was born and shared clothes for years now. So, it’s not a surprise that both of us wanted to grab a few new options for Mother’s Day outfits from Chico’s. Whether you’re headed to brunch or dinner or just hanging at home, they have chic outfits for every occasion.

Mother Daughter Style with Chico’s
When it comes to holidays like Mother’s Day, I prefer to have both a casual outfit and a more dressy outfit so I can decide what I want to wear that day based on my mood. Mom and I both love that Chico’s makes it so easy to mix and match their pieces from their collections. We both lean towards classic styles with a neutral color palette.
Dressy Mother’s Day Outfit
When I want to feel a bit more put together I always reach for a dress. More specifically, I love a throw-on-and-go dress. Not familiar with the term? It’s your wardrobe game changer. A throw-on dress is midi length, has some detail to it (not too plain) and easy to style. In spring and summer months I’m always a fan of eyelet, so this comfy dress that’s a little more relaxed and billowy in its shape is perfect. With summer upon us, I’m reaching for chic sandals like these and then add some accessories like this faux tennis stretch bracelet.
Mom and I love a matchy-matchy moment. So, the black and white pieces in the latest collection at Chico’s are perfect for creating that vibe. She wears a lot of cute tops like this jacquard sleeveless pullover with an easy cardi (she’s always cold!). We’re both obsessed with the Travelers collection. Pants you can pull on, with an elastic waistband that never wrinkle? Yes, please! She completed her look with their new cropped pants. You’ll rarely find her in heels. But, she absolutely loves these chain link sandals (there’s tons of cushion).
Casual Mothers Day Outfits
Mom isn’t a huge dress fan. So, you’ll mostly find her in pants. She grabbed this gorgeous wide leg denim in the perfect dark wash and is pairing it with an eyelet top (like mother, like daughter!) for her more casual outfit. She pulls the whole look together with the chain detail on her sandals which are very comfy and easy to slip on. They also come in black.
Since I’m chasing an 18-month toddler around, I opt for comfort more often than not these days. To me, there’s nothing better than a classic white blouse with some feminine details. This one runs a bit large, so I’d say size down! Paired with my wide leg travelers pants and this is a mom-friendly look from Chico’s for running around on Mother’s Day.
Spending quality time with my mom and our family on Mother’s Day is the best gift I can get. This year we’ll be going out for an early dinner at a local Italian restaurant. So, I’ll probably wear my black dress. We’re blessed to have my parents so close to us, especially as we’ve navigated this last year with our first baby. I’ve always loved playing dress up with my mom. It’s even better now when we can just raid each other’s closets! Happy Mother’s Days to all the moms out there and for outfit inspo for your special day be sure to head to Chico’s!
