If you’ve been around here for a while, you know I like to fill my closet with elevated essentials that you can mix and match lots of different ways. My style is often a mix of classic pieces and neutrals, so when I stumbled upon Brochu Walker, I felt an immediate connection to the brand. Their mantra is to be “Kinder to the Environment” which I absolutely love. This does mean that their pieces are a bit pricey. But, they’re also things you’ll reach for time and time again. Brochu Walker Review
A few things you’ll notice about Brochu Walker right away is that their collections are a mix of neutral and classic colors with a handful of prints (stripes) here and there. They aren’t a flashy brand, which is one of the things I love about them. It’s all about effortless pieces you can mix and match to get a great cost per wear. Their fabric is premium quality (think super soft cotton, heavy knits, wool, and cashmere) which justifies the price tag. Each piece I own is well-made and very comfortable. If I had to sum it up, the brand makes me feel like I’m headed to St. Tropez or Nantucket – both luxurious places with an unassuming vibe. I’ve called it my take on the coastal grandma style, but it’s the best kind.

Brochu Walker Havana Mini Dress
The Havana Mini dress is a staple from the brand. It’s really a fun, tiered shirt dress. The style lends itself well to a casual daytime look. I paired mine with the Fida shrug and my go-to pair of flatforms (also love this pair). But, you could easily wear it at night with a longer Cardi and pair of great heels. This dress comes in four colors, but I love the black for its simplicity.

If you’ve ever needed a short sleeve shrug to keep you warm at the beach or when you’re out to eat, this is the shawl for you. I’m more of a ‘drape over your shoulders’ kinda gal. But, this shrug also looks chic when it’s worn more preppy as well. The thick-looped yarns of the crochet style give it its weight. It’s an understated piece that gives off a coastal California feel – like I need to plan a trip to Carmel or even the Hamptons. It runs true to size and has a relaxed fit.

If you like what you’ve seen, you may think – okay, but how do I score a deal. Truthfully, I haven’t seen them run many sales. But, if you sign up for their emails you get 15% off. So, that would be an easy way to get a discount.

Nowadays, most of my shopping is done online. But, there are several brick and mortar Brochu Walker stores as well. You can find them in Carmel (CA), Southampton (NY) and Westport (CT).
Brochu Walker Returns
Return my Brochu Walker?! Never. Maybe exchange for another size, but I haven’t had to do that either. That said, I’d note that their return policy is unique in that it’s 21 days (based on the date of receipt by mail if made online).
