No matter if it’s your first trimester and you’re battling morning sickness or your third and you’re struggling to walk from room to room without losing your breath, having good maternity loungewear when pregnant is a must. Loungewear doesn’t have to just mean a matching set (although this one is so cute). It also means soft and stretchy dresses, comfy joggers and maybe even an easy-to-throw-on jumpsuit. But, not all loungewear is created equal. Some are specifically made and designed to make your motherhood journey more comfortable. So, I’m sharing a round-up of five maternity loungewear favorites you can wear through each stage of pregnancy.

5 Maternity Loungewear Favorites
Loungewear is great anytime really, but during pregnancy it becomes a must have. There are so many beautiful parts of your pregnancy journey. But, when insomnia hits you out of left field and you have a hard time getting comfortable your maternity loungewear will truly come in handy. Below are some of my most worn pieces I kept reaching for during my 9 months of growing baby Everett.
Vuori Halo Essential Dress
I’ve been a HUGE fan of Vuori the past few years (see my overall review here). So, naturally I grabbed a few new things to lounge in to get me through my 40 weeks of pregnancy. Since I’m on a ton of video calls each day, I wanted something that was cozy but still easy to dress up when needed. This essential dress is perfect for chillin’ on the couch watching Netflix but works when you need to throw on a blazer and take a meeting too. I sized up one size to accommodate the bump, but really more for my growing chest! It’s non-maternity and non-nursing, but its easy to take the shoulder strap down when nursing postpartum.
Skims Soft Lounge Long Slipdress
If you haven’t hopped on the Skims train yet, let this slipdress be your first foray into the brand that you’ll inevitably buy more from thereafter. A longtime fan of Kim Kardashian, I’d personally eyed a bunch of Skims pieces wondering, “but will these look good on my body?” Well, I can’t tell you how she does it. But, somehow her line looks incredible on everyone that wears it. And the softness factor!? Super high. Honestly, I only wish I’d pulled the trigger sooner and gotten this dress earlier. This is the bra I’d wear with it too. It comes in 10 colors, so you’re sure to find one that’s perfect for you (and you can never go wrong with black). Size up one size!
Pink Blush Maternity Soft Knit Long Sleeve Maternity Set
You first saw me share Pink Blush Maternity in this post when I was living in their chic dresses. But, they also make maternity loungewear you can’t pass up, like this soft knit set. It comes in seven colors and is a great price point at $64. If the long sleeves and joggers are making you hot just thinking about them, then try this set with short sleeves and biker shorts.
Vuori Mudra Pant
When I tell you I lived in these pants, that would be an understatement! Vuori does it again! Made from a stretch rib knit, these mudra pants will be your go-to when the belly seems like it can’t get any bigger (but it will). I took a size large, but with their generous stretch you can probably stay true-to-size. Since these may sell out, I’d also recommend these pants too.
Spanx Air Essentials Half Zip and Tapered Pant
Spanx has a cult following, so it only makes sense to add a few items from their new Air collection that make for perfect maternity loungewear essentials. Their light-as-air (hence, the name) fabric and 4-way stretch are the definition of what you want to wear when you’re pregnant and constantly uncomfortable in your later trimesters. Grab the half zip pullover that’s silky soft and pair it with either the tapered pant or the wide leg pant for ultimate lounging.

Maternity Onesie and Blazer
You’ll likely lounge on your couch in just the onesie. But, when you need to run an errand you can pair it with a chic oversized blazer and still be comfortable. Of course, the only shoes you might be able to fit in are your sneakers. Veja makes some of my favorites and this pair stays in regular rotation.
Harem Pants
Towards the end of your pregnancy journey you may reach a point where you rarely leave bed (my legs got so swollen the last three weeks). If you do, you’ll be grateful to have these harem pants nearby. I lost track of how many times I threw these on with a simple white shirt while my feet were elevated. Then, snuggle up in your favorite cardigan and slippers (this sherpa pair is so soft).
Skims Slipdress
This slipdress is the outfit, especially when you just want to lounge! It’s sexy, but soft. However, if you want to wear it out then you can throw on a cute bomber jacket and sneakers to make it a full look!
Truth is, when you’re wearing maternity loungewear you’re likely relaxing and not on the go! But, there are so many elevated knitwear sets and clothes today that you can easily dress up if you need to run out the door to an OB appointment or to grab groceries. Being pregnant doesn’t mean you have to give up your style. Rather, you get to up your comfort game with all the stretchy pieces that flatter the bump!
