Being the girly girl that I am, I love jewelry. Gorgeous pieces of jewelry not only complete an outfit, they elevate it and can be considered good investment pieces as well. Like my taste in fashion, my jewelry preferences seem to hover on the higher end (sorry, not sorry). But, let me say upfront that I’m not talking Van Cleef and Arpels style (who has that kind of money!?). The threshold of my wallet is more in line with investing in designer jewelry pieces like those by Lagos, or David Yurman. Or, pretty much anything from Julie Vos (which is more fancy costume jewelry) is a fabulous idea. In today’s post, I’m sharing a roundup of the best jewelry pieces that you should consider.
Best Jewelry Investment Pieces
When you buy things you love, you wear them more. It’s a fact. Remember this post about investing in a Chanel bag? I will always be a proponent of spending a bit more upfront to get more longevity out of a purchase and better price per wear. Of course, if you want to level up (I’m lookin’ at you, Van Cleef Alhambra necklace and Cartier love bracelet), some jewelry pieces increase their value on the resale market. But, you don’t have to spend thousands for them to end up as heirlooms that are passed on for generations to come. So, what should you buy? My favorites are below.
Shop the Post
Like your capsule wardrobe, it doesn’t take hundreds of jewelry pieces to round out a collection. With just a few simple investments, you can build an enviable stack of beautiful baubles that you wear for a lifetime. Here are my 5 favorite jewelry pieces:
Lagos Signature Caviar Bracelet
You may recall a couple of years ago when I first shared my love for Lagos on the blog. The iconic brand is known for their Caviar collection and this bracelet was my first foray into their fine jewelry collection. To make these stunning items it takes hundreds of steps by artisan jewelers. Silver, gold, turquoise – you name it. This collection comes in a number of materials. My love for their classic pieces has started rubbing off too! My mom just got this caviar bracelet for mother’s day (of course, she picked the one with diamonds!). But, you can see how it spans generations and still looks beyond chic with whatever you wear. Both my mom and I have the two-tone and it makes it such a versatile piece.
Lagos Caviar Gold Stacking Ring
A classic piece in any jewelry collection is a diamond ring. No, I’m not talking about an engagement ring. (Although, that is an option.) But, simply any ring you can stack and wear to add some bling to your hand. I first wore this gorgeous ring at New York Fashion Week in February and ever since then I’ve been obsessed with it. It’s finally apart of my collection now, and I wear it every single day. From the 18K gold finish to the sparkly diamonds set within the caviar beads – this jewelry investment is one I’ll cherish for years. Since this is a simple stacking ring, it too goes with anything and everything you own. Casual, dressy – you name it. It works.
Julie Vos Savannah Demi Link Bracelet
Arguably the most worn item on my wrist, the Savannah Demi Link bracelet (last seen here and here) from Julie Vos is the only chain link bracelet you need. A chunky statement piece with a glossy diamond-pattern (or hammered) finish, this bracelet always gets me (multiple) compliments. There’s a reason for the $285 price tag. This only comes in a 24K gold plate finish. I’ve worn this with mini skirts and pretty tops and with casual jeans and blousy tops, as well as various dresses. It goes with nearly everything and again – really makes a statement.
Shopbop Diamond Pave Necklace
I’m intentionally being vague with my description here, but every girl needs some diamonds around her neck. For these pieces, I tend to either shop locally or look to this fine jewelry collection because the prices aren’t outrageous. Shopbop offers a good range of designers from Adina Reyter to Jennifer Meyer, and I tend to gravitate towards the dainty necklaces you can wear everyday. If you notice the trend, all of the jewelry investment pieces I purchase are things I don’t just wear for special occasions. You also want to balance the overall look. If you’re wearing a bold necklace, my rule of thumb is to keep your other jewelry simple.

Michele Serein Gold Watch
A classic timepiece is a staple in your jewelry box and it doesn’t have to come in the form of a Rolex! Matt gifted me my Michele Serein gold watch on our wedding day and I still absolutely love it. In general, Michele watches are a good jewelry investment. Yes, they’re luxe. But, they’re made to be lived in. Until I started working from home, I would wear mine every day.
Their designs feature hand-set diamonds and a signature red crown on the side dial. Not into gold? They have an abundance of sterling silver and two-tone options like this one. That helps bring down the price too! You can wear these with your most casual outfit, like a white tee and shorts. But, it looks equally as pretty with a black slip dress too.
Jewelry investments are often sentimental, marking special occasions, or received as gifts. From classic diamond studs to a gorgeous chain necklace or statement piece, if you get the right fine jewelry it can truly make you feel that much more stylish.
