A Review of the Best Nursing Bras
Most Worn Nursing Bra
Target Auden Women’s Nursing Seamless Bra
You prep and purchase so many things pre-baby. The one thing I forgot – nursing bras! So, I ran out to Target right before Everett was born and stumbled on these seamless nursing bras by Auden that I’ve lived in the last four months. Things I love about them – they’re super soft and stretchy. But, IMO the best part is the sewn in cups that give you extra coverage for when you leak (and you will). This nursing bra comes in 6 colors and is incredibly affordable at $16.99. There are a few cons to this bra. First, it does tend to stretch out with multiple wears before washing. So, I recommend buying a few! Then, because it’s more of a stretchy panel it doesn’t always conform to certain tops or dresses that may be lower cut or require a normal bra.
Best Overall Nursing Bra
Bumpsuit The Ultimate Nursing Bra
While I love the bra above, I wouldn’t call it sexy. What I love about the Bumpsuit bra is that it’s very chic. It’s a deep V-cut. But, it’s also comfortable and supportive and it feels more like a normal bra! Believe me, you’ll crave some normalcy those first few weeks post-partum.
The style does tend to run a bit on the small size. So, I recommend sizing up one size (I got the XL/XXL) since your breasts can tend to fluctuate in size when you’re nursing. This sculpting bra is definitely higher quality than the one from Target. As such, the price point is higher too at $58.
Best Nursing Sports Bra
Kindred Bravely Sublime Nursing Sports Bra
When you’re ready to start working out post-partum, you’ll 100% want to get the Kindred Bravely Sublime Nursing Sports Bra. It’s designed for low impact activities. So, it’s perfect for walking or yoga. I use it when I’m on the Peloton! The performance fabric is moisture wicking and it’s a pullover style which I love. At $44.99 it’s a bit pricier. But, the fit and fabric are impressive! I’d buy another if I was working out more frequently.
Best Hands-Free Pumping Bra
Momcozy Hands-Free Pumping Bra
When you’re headed back to work and plan to pump throughout the day, this is an amazing bra to purchase for a ton of reasons. First, the straps are designed to be wider at the top where they normally dig into your skin. And, they’re spongy so it gives you that lightweight feel. Plus, they don’t fall off your shoulder! Also, the leopard print is so fun!
Then, since it has a wider band at the bottom it’s also a sports bra. I haven’t worn it for that purpose, but their website says you can use it for medium impact activities, including running. Perhaps the most important feature is how they smartly increased the cup capacity so when you have the pump inside the bra it doesn’t completely smush your breasts! I’m a HUGE fan of the Momcozy S12 Pro breast pump. So, when I saw their bras on Instagram I knew I’d need to try them. At an affordable price of $29.99, it’s a steal for the great quality.
Honorable Mention
Momcozy Seamless Nursing Bra
Once you’ve had your sweet baby, you tend to lose sense of the days as you cluster feed and take care of your little one. All you want are comfy clothes which includes your go-to nursing bra. Because I purchased my Target bras first, those became my most worn. But, I think this seamless nursing bra could have given them a run for their money if I had it sooner! This bra has won the Mom’s Choice Award and I can see why. It lays perfectly on your skin and doesn’t show through shirts. The cups also have specialized 3D shape which molds perfectly to your body. And, the clasps are so easy to use. When you have a bunch of nursing bras you’ll find the clasps are not all created equal! These are very good. Priced at $29, it’s a great find.
So many different brands make and sell nursing bras, but they can get very expensive. Depending on how long you plan to pump, you may want to get at least a few to rotate based on outfits you plan to wear. I’ve accumulated about 10 or so and these are the best nursing bras hands down!
