Volume is the name of the game when it comes to my hair. I’m always trying to create more of it and get it to last longer. While I have A LOT of hair, it’s really fine. So, I have a hard time finding products that don’t weigh it down. Over the years I’ve tested countless shampoo’s, conditioner’s, hair sprays, volumizing sprays – you name it. Many didn’t live up to the hype. But, I’ve managed to find a set of products that give me the style I’m going for – that tousled kind of look that has volume for days (#iwokeuplikethis, amiright?!). I’ve converted many friends to the Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray, and nothing compares to my Big Sexy Hair Spray. Keep reading to get my 5 best hair care products.

The 5 Best Hair Care Products You Need Right Now
Before writing this post, I put a tremendous amount of thought into which products I’d recommend. Beauty bloggers know this world of hair and makeup far better than I do. But, I use it everyday! So, I’m writing for anyone who is like me – people who struggle to decide which products to buy and which to use. The list of my 5 best hair care products below represents those that I know work personally. They’re used every single day of every single week and I know you’ll love them too.
1. Oribe Gold Lust Cote d’Azur Hair Oil
Since I wash my hair everyday, I also blow dry everyday and worry about heat damage. This oil not only nourishes my strands (and smells like the coast of Italy), but I honestly think it helps it grow without split ends. AND! – it fights frizz. A pump or two goes a long way, so the 3.0 fl oz travel size even lasts forever.
2. Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray
This dry texturizing spray is literally the first hair product I’d say I can’t live without. I use it nearly everyday after I blow dry right at the root to amp up my volume. You can blast it with your hair dryer to make the volume stick (a pro tip from my hair stylist!). I also use it to emphasize my layers around my face. Simply twist your hair until the ends fall out and then mist onto your locks for that “piecey” look.
3. Ouai Texturizing Hair Spray
Could it be? A dry shampoo and hair spray in one? To test out the Ouai products, I bought their travel set that came with this baby and immediately ran out to buy the bigger bottle. Though I reach for my Oribe spray above far more, I’ll use this if I need to add volume and set my hair a bit more (since I’ll spray it all over versus at the root and ends). This is made by Jen Atkin, hair stylist for the Kardashians, and it rose to fame quick. This spray is light, so you can still run your fingers through it afterward.
4. Big Sexy Hair Spray & Play
Living in South Florida, our humidity is INSANE. When I was at my best friends bachelorette party a few years back, one of my best girl friends recommended Big Sexy Hair. I’ve used it ever since. I this after I spend time blowing out and styling my hair (curling it under) and when I curl my hair. It doesn’t make my hair crunchy, and it lets it move but keeps it in place. You can get this typically at your grocery store, which is super convenient.
5. Ouai Dry Shampoo Foam
I’d just about given up on finding a good dry shampoo (remember, I normally have to wash my hair every day) when I tried this one in the Ouai travel set. Instead of being a spray it’s a foam. This product works great when you have evening plans and your hair has lost that luster it had after you first styled it. Build up and oil gets absorbed and you look put together with a small pump.
While these are my absolute favorite products, I’ll continue to test more and share my opinions on them monthly.
